Great product for 9 year old I purchased the swing away for my 9 year old son and he loves it. The swing away is a great product for young players to get repetition hits in without chasing balls. Works great in a community where you don't have room for kids to hit live balls. The swing away was relatively easy to put together as well; my son and I assembled it in roughly 30-45 minutes. Well made and fun Would have given 5 stars if directions were better. Is well made and easy to put together except for the bungy system. Needed to go on YouTube sine the directions were non-existent for attaching the ball and cords. Also nothing about folding it. Suggest viewing you tube before you try the cords. Other than that my son likes it and it seems to be very well made. December 25, 2012
Great Tool to build batting skills This is a well thought out product. My kids (and I, because its so much fun!), can train whenever they want, in the garage. Much more functional than using a tee. You can practice for inside, outside, high, and low balls. I would recommend this to any coach, as well. I am very pleased. December 10, 2012
AWESOME Hitting Machine I just rec'd the New Swingaway MVP for my son and daughter, ages 14 and 9, the machine is so much better than I could ever have imaged. The new instructions were very clear and easy to build regardless of what other people said in the past. There are YouTube videos to help if you run into a question. The machine is extremely solid and durable, once you open the box you will instantly know this is not a toy, its a solid piece of engineered equipment. After we set up the Swingaway, my kids started hitting it immediately and we literally had to pull them off of it to eat and to go to bed. The very next day we had the whole neighborhood in our driveway swinging on the Swingaway. The ball returns very quickly and the hitters can get a lot of swings in a short amount of time. We plan to set it up in the garage and use it throughout the winter. it may be snowing outside but my kids can still practice hitting. Btw it folds very quickly and we stack it against the wall, taking up very little space. Absolutely love it, thank you Swingaway for such a great Product.. November 11, 2012
