Rated 5 out of 5 by Mudfish Catches almost everything I've been using the 4" Gulp Swimming Mullets for years, primarily for kayak fishing inshore saltwater creeks in NE Florida. I fish with lures only, and 95% of the time I use Gulps. I carry Black and Pearl White on my kayak. No fancy colors. They're either going to hit a dark lure, or a light colored lure. I regularly catch redfish, flounder, spotted sea trout, and black drum with the Gulps. The only cons are that they are a little messy, and the tails get bitten off easily, but they work so well it's worth it. I keep mine in a small, leakproof tupperware container. October 16, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by flukey13 Gulp Swimming Mullet for Fluke (summer flounder) I have been successfully using swimming mullet gulp for fluke for two years. White seems to work best on sunny days and yellow on cloudy days. Pink also works when fluke are eating shrimp. My basic rig is a three way swivel with 12 inch dropper, 42 inch leader and 3/0 hooks. I fish the baits with plane hooks, spinners and pink squirts. I switch to whatever rig and color mullet works best. Although I also try minnows, squid and spearing, I have consistently found that the Gulp out-fishes the natural baits. This is good news since minnows have been in short supply this year. I highly recommend this product. I wish we had Gulp when I worked on charter boats. June 21, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by bulldog57 Its a must have bait Works great for a great variety of species - latest trip out caught Flounder, Trout, Lady-fish My only complaint is that the tail is not very durable it can get bitten off by aggressive-Pin fish and those Lizard fish. But its still an essential bait in my Kayak. November 19, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dan the Man Swimming Mullet is the Best Artificial Saltwater Bait My first time using the swimming mullet got into a school of white trout and small specks. Fishing right next to other people using cut bait, sparkle beetles, and artificial cocahoe minnows I was catching them every throw while the other fisherman wasn't catching nothing on artificial lures of the same color. White and Chautreuse seem to be the best color where i fish. Swimming mullet is also great for flounder as well, draggging it slowly on the bottom. It is my favorite saltwater bait and is well worth the money. I have found Dicks has the best price in town. August 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Intercepter Very effective Although not the most durable, saltwater gulps are awesome for catching flounder and puppy drum. They are supposed to work well for trout as well but that species continues to evade me. August 15, 2013
