Nice kicks! Well after a year, I migrated from a pair of Asics Gel Nimbus shoes to the Kahana series shoe. I run three times a week, both pavement and cross country. The Kahana 6 series is just above the bottom series, I would recommend them over the baseline Kahana, because these definitely have more tread for the cross country runs. They have good padding and for what I paid for them new, they are a better built shoe than NewBalance or Nike could provide for the same price. I am about two weeks into using them and have noticed a performance boost, remember if you are a regular runner, take care of replacing your shoes regularly. Also for reference, running is the only activity I use non-boot shoes for, in case you fall into that category as well. April 9, 2013

Don't buy Purchased these for a recent trip. Wore them on the plane and the next day on a very mild dirt trail. No rocks even. By that evening I noticed the rubber at the toe was already pulling away from the shoe. I've had this problem with some cheap shoes in the past but didn't expect it from these. Don't buy. ASICS GEL Kahana - The Best of Both Worlds My husband and I have worn Asics Gel Kahana for many years and have continually been impressed with the shoe's integrity and consistency in size and fit. They last, in excellent condition, for longer than any other shoe we've purchased. The Gel Kahana is a perfect combination of a running and trail shoe, being a bit more rugged than a running shoe and handling trails with ease. All this in a shoe that is not too heavy to wear for extended periods of time. We LOVE the ASICS-Gel Kahana and are sure the 6 will serve us well, also. February 26, 2013

Comfortable, light and stable. Great shoe for the money. Excellent for jogging, trail walking or just around the neighbourhood. Stable underfoot. Just wish the foam around the bottom was a bit darker, but this is cosmetic, functionally shoe is a great all rounder. Cheers. January 30, 2013
great shoe for trail running This is my third pair of kahana trail shoes and this version is even better than the others! I run mostly trails/uneven terrain when training for races and this shoe performs well on those surfaces as well as flat ones. Overall a great shoe by the best brand in running shoes in my opinion January 22, 2013
