These shoes are being discontinued, so I bought the ghost 6 that is replacing them. I do not like them. Not as much padding and arch support as the ghost 5. I went on line and found Dick's had some left and ordered them. Every time Brook's makes a good shoe, they change them...

I bought my first pair of these when I was coming off of some wicked Achilles tendonitis, and from the beginning, I felt great. I went through two pairs, and decided to get something a little lighter because I had been injury free for around a year. I bought a pair of Mizuno wave Sayonaras based upon the Runner's World picks, and within two weeks of running in them, I was feeling pain in my Achilles tendon again. Long story short, here come my third pair of Ghost 5s!

This is my second pair of Brooks, and as much as I loved the first pair these are even better. I run about 60 miles a month, and it's the perfect running shoe. Before I went to Brooks I had knee problems, and the first day I started running with Brooks I had no more issues with my knee. This shoe is well worth it, and then some.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kathy Great shoes for running or cross-training
I have tried a pair of Brooks before and did not like them based on the fit. I typically wear Asics as an occasional runner. These are great for both running, walking and general cross-training. They fit my moderately wide feet perfectly w/ good support for my neutral feet. Highly recommend.

Rated 3 out of 5 by andrea4mileaday Not for my foot
First let me say that customer service at Dick's was outstanding! Now back to business...I know Brooks is a good shoe, but this pair did not work for me. I have a high arch and I super-pronate. The shoe felt great in the store, but when i got a chance to run in them they caused me to run on my toes a little more than usual. I also noticed that my toe was catching on the the material that covered the end of the shoe. Good shoe...just not for my foot.

Ran 4+ miles in them the day I got them thinking that I would have to "break them in". Not necessary! The toe box is roomy without being too big. No sliding around in them and they work great on trails!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Kate830 Excellent fit and support
These are my first pair of Brooks running shoes. I was looking for excellent support and a wider toe. I run an average of 20 mi/week and have to limit my distance due to osteoporosis. These shoes fit my needs better than the saucony and Adidas shoes I've worn. Sizing guide accurate too! I'm sold!

Went to Dick's, don't know a thing about running shoes. I do a fitness boot camp where we run laps and run up and down stairs, and by bargain basement Asics weren't cutting it. The lady working there suggested these, and I am very happy with them. They were on sale because the ghost 6 shoes are here, so I got a great deal. They didn't have my size left in the store, so saleslady helped me order them online and have them shipped to me for free. They arrived in two days, just like they said. Not only that, but because they are a bit of money, I got a $10 coupon off my next item, which I was able to use the next week on boxing gloves. Dick's isn't perfect, but they try real hard. The ghost sixes seem to be much different in design, so waiting to see the reviews on those to be able to tell which is better for next pair.
