Buying Guide

PING ® designers engineered extreme forgiveness and predictable distance control into the G20 irons so your game is always on point. The cavity's floating Custom Tuning Port (CTP) structure stabilizes the face and the aluminum badge with elastomer heel and toe sections produces both a solid feel and sound. The CTP reinforces a 10% thinner face and controls distances while saving weight, which was added to the back flange.

Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 15 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Mike L I have found that the G-20s are very forgiving and the feel of the club on many hits just feels like butter. Very straight hitting clubs and I've gained extra distance on each club. What used to drop in front of the green is now dropping on the green. It's nice to putt for my 3rd stroke. June 19, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Game Changer These clubs have changed my game. Not drastically, enough to make me feel much better about my swing and the forgiveness of them. Nizzzzzz, thank you Ping and welcome back into my bag of goodies!!!! June 3, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love the Irons! I have only had my irons for 4 weeks now and I absolutely love them. I'm a 13 handicap and I've already seen a 2 to 3 stroke improvement using the irons. I would recommend these irons to anyone I know. April 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Omg - I'm in love I had money for the i20's but after trying both the G20 and i20's the G20's were the one for me. Love them! April 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent A great set of irons from Ping once again. I had the itch to upgrade from my G15 irons, which were great but you know how you get that itch for a few more yards. I hit just about every iron out there before deciding on these and the main reason was consistent distance on miss hits. It seems the trend this year with new game improvement irons was a thinner sole to give it more of a players look but I think that takes away from some of the forgiveness and I don't care about looks, I care about results. While I was impressed with the distance I gained hitting the x2 hot irons, speedblades and mizuno jpx ez irons I was disappointed with the distance on miss hits. Granted that callaway and Taylormade just took a 6 iron and wrote 7 on the bottom so that improvement in distance must be adjusted for. With all those irons I found that if I hit it in the sweet spot I was 10-15 yards longer than my current set even while adjusting for jacked up lofts and lengths however on miss hits, while still fairly straight, I was 10-15 yards short of my target. While I'm a decent golfer I can't hope for a perfect swing each time to take advantage of that distance gain. I also hit the g25 irons and was sure I would love them but I did not see a discernable performance difference between them and the g20 irons. Note that I hit all of these irons on a launch monitor as well as on the range and course. The g20's were about 6 yards longer than my G15 irons which was a nice benefit plus the distance control here was much better on miss hits losing only about 6 yards which is much better than what I was getting with the other sets. I was sure this year I'd be playing a different brand but after a lot of testing I just keep coming back to Ping. While each review must be taken with a grain of salt my advice to you is to go out there and hit each club, we all have different swings and the club must feel right in your hands and it must suit your eye. This was just my experience. Hope this helps! February 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by I like um alot When I first got them they took a little getting use to. I hit them ok. I was getting the ball where it had to go. The only thing that I really had to get use to was they are a wider club then my other clubs. It kind of felt weird hitting them out of clumpy areas of grass and dirt. But once I got use to them and the confidence in my self to use them in situations like that these clubs are really on the money. Im glad I took the time and patience to learn how to use them. I feel like these clubs will take my game to the next level when its time. And I really like the wedges that came with them. You can really get under the ball with them. June 10, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Give these a try! I'm a high handicap golfer and needed a quality club for consistency. Over the last 5 months I have tried the TM burner 2.0, 3.0, rocketballz, burner plus, Cobra S3, S3 max irons and by accident Ping G20's. All are quality clubs, however none hit as straight as the Pings with "consistency". I had been using an older set of cheap wilsons and struggled with improving so I decided I needed an upgrade. The forgiveness of the Ping G20's are incredible I played one round so far and if the ball is hit decent on the club face it flies right down the middle with a high trajectory. The quality seems to be good and I feel confident with these irons. The price was more than I wanted to spend but I used the dicks credit card and got 10% off. I'm glad I decided to get these because I have no regrets and already see improvement. May 4, 2013
