Top notch broadhead! After hunting for over 20 years, and using several different broadheads, both mechanical and fixed heads, I finally settled on these rocket sidewinders. I have been using these for years with excellent results. I have used these with both compounds and crossbows with no trouble at all. These broadheads have a 1.5" cutting diameter and they cause tremendous bleeding. Last year I shot a huge 9 pointer, but it wasn't a perfect shot, solidly clipping only one lung. The deer still went only abou 250 yards, leaving a nice blood trail the whole way. I also made a perfect double-lung shot of a large body 8 point, and he crashed dead after about 35 yards! I have NEVER broken a blade, although they do bend slightly when hitting heavy bone #or rocks#. I estimate that my son and I have shot over 20 deer with these broadheads over the years, and most shots have blown completely through the deer, and stuck in ground behind it! Since this broadhead is mechanical, it is less likely to strike leaves or branches in tight woodsy shots. I was once forced to shoot right through a small patch of leaves at a 6 pointer a few years ago, and the arrow never deviated from its flight path! That was a total shocker for me! I was sure it would deflect at least slightly! These broadheads are the best I've ever used. Highly recommended. May 15, 2013
