does not work well with beach cruiser bikes We tried all the different positiins and had to bend fenders to get bike on the rack August 8, 2013
Works as shown but.... Have been using this for a few years. It works as shown but be warned that you have to really be strong enough to push a full set of bikes back in the upright position. We put 4 bikes that are all heavy comfort style bikes and that sucker is tough to push up when we have it in the drop position to get to the back. Also, the biggest complaint are the hangers, they are so big that you really have to struggle with bikes that do not have a completely strait top tube. The original rubber straps that came with our unit were thin and broke quickly but we ordered replacements from the company and the new versions were much stronger. I am sure at this point the unit is shipped with the new rubber straps so that should not be an issue anymore. August 7, 2013
