Rated 1 out of 5 by Balanced So low it's like sitting on the floor
I was excited about this-- thought it would be the best of a balance ball (constant, gentle motion to help ward off back pain and stiffness) and a chair (back support and no random rolling around as I worked at my desk). But it is so low to the floor that even my 6'4" husband couldn't sit on it and comfortably work on a desktop. It really is ridiculously low. I looked onliine for height extenders and could find only 2" ones-- not nearly enough. This chair needs *stilts*! Brought it back. Bottom line: unless you're going to use it just to sit and watch TV or something where you're not using a work surface, think twice before you buy.

Recently, my high school purchased these for my student government class. Our productivity has increased dramatically! Now, instead of getting poster paint all over the floors, we're bouncing the day away on these exercise ball chairs. Our classmates are slightly miffed because of this however, as we had to sacrifice the money designated for our prom in order to purchase these chairs (we needed 30, and at $100 apiece, prom wouldn't be able to happen as well). But that's alright, because our backs have never felt better! Of course, our cars have been keyed multiple times, our houses egged, and in general, we have been subject to a great deal of abuse because of these chairs. This is arbitrary however, as we are so infatuated with these back-saving devices.
