Redfield Revenge 3-9x42 Accu-Ranger Hunter Scope
Better scopes out there
Bought the 3-9X42 to put on my 17hm2 and was greatly disappointed. The clarity is not even close to that of my nikon prostaff, which is a fair comparison. I am not biased, also own a Leupold VX-1, the parent company of Redfield. With the zoom on 9X, It was hard trying to see my own bullet holes at 50 yds. With the prostaff, it was a piece of cake. I only bought this because of the good reviews and it was on sale, but it's not even worth the low sale price I bought it for. I will be returning it tomorrow, so will my father who bought one with the 4 plex reticle. For a scope at this price, it's a shame that my cheapie simmons has better clarity for less than half the price. Those who say this scope has great clarity probably has never looked through some decent optics. The only good thing is that it actually holds zero very well. There are definitely better scopes for around the same price range so look around first.

This is the best scope for the money ever!
Truly a high quality product with great clarity. Excellent magnification and durable to high power caliber rifles.
Took me 5 minutes to site this in and I was grouping within a quarter at 100 yards.

Don't think twice
I will admit, I was a little hesitant to buy this scope at first. They were pretty new to the market when I purchased and there was not much info on them or even many reviews. Well I bought one and I couldn't be happier. The glass has great clarity and I love the thickness of the crosshairs. The turrets are clean clicking and easy to adjust and rezero. This scope exceeds my expectations. I use this on my 30 06 and have not had any problems at all.

Would buy again with confidence.
Amazing clarity, easy to use and looks awesome attached to my Ruger American. Only negative I can think of is that they moved the manufacturing plant to the Phillipines instead of Oregon, so it's not truly American made anymore.
