I initially intended to buy a Sole elliptical because I already owned one. It lasted 6 years before the frame cracked, and other little things that happened with age. I was a heavy user of the machine, so I do not have anything negative to say about Sole ellipticals.
Just when I was about to invest in another Sole, I saw this elliptical as a floor model at a discounted price. I was told by the dick's associate that I could still get this one new in a box for 900. I decided to give it a try, and I have to say this is an amazing machine for what I paid.
It was a headache to put together, but if you can still get this machine, before they are all gone for about what I paid for it, I say buy it.

This product is of poor quality. I have owned this product for 14 months
and have had nothing but mechanical issues. I have broke two welds and
I am on my third repair because the rollers are now coming off the track.
There are better products on the market and this product is not worth the
price. Not intended for heavy use this machine is intended for light use

Recently have started walking to get healthy once again. My wife is worked her way up to an hour in the neighborhood and is going to be cold soon. So we went on a journey to get a treadmill. But when we started talking about what would be good and something different then walking, we wondered about ellipticals and decided to research our town. Sears ok with Nordic track she liked those. Academy had Schwinn and Xterra brands. Dicks with sole and epic. After price discussion and me wanting the top of the line with all the bells and whistles we decided I didn't need all the bells and whistles. Went for the Epic A32E. Was a floor model so got it cheaper then sale price. This also had better length and heavier fly wheel then the others for the starting model which was a plus. So far we are loving the exercise we get with our Epic. Also I did take a while for the first download which was behind so there was a lot to load. But if you have wireless at home it is great. Still working on using ifit program. All I can say is hope to get 1500miles on it for my free maintenance program in 5 years. Which was another plus and has a better manufacturer warranty then most. Thanks Epic.

I replaced a 12 year old smooth CE that had worn out with Epic A32. I was very happy with the Smooth unit, but the bearings were wearing out, so I replaced it with something with an updated console and (perceived) better quality.
I purchased A32 from the store, after trying the various units in there. I chose A32 because I wanted wireless heartrate monitor.
from Day 1 - the incline did not work, the right wheel squeaked, the foot pedals clanged, and there was a knocking from the left front side. It's like running on a rattletrap. Only - you can't run. Any cadence over 55-60 and the left side roller pops off the track and clangs on the machine and digs into my flooring.
I Opened a warranty case with ICON fitness - who makes ALL of these, such as Epic, Proform, NordicTrack, etc (Lesson learned - I thought they were separate companies#
3 weeks later after parts arrive - and left side has started coming off the rails regularly now, a tech comes by and replaces part of the motor to make the incline work properly. He also adjusted a few other things, and ordered more parts. By this time, I have purchased a sheet of 3/4 plywood and made a base for the unit, but things are still rickety.
The tech ordered a new incline, where the rollers work, to see if this stops the side from coming off. It's backordered. When I ask ICON support about when it will come "Not too long" is the answer I get. I asked "days, weeks, months?" and "soon": is answer I get (ICON check your chat logs to verify)
So here we are the day after Christmas, midway through my 2 week vacation, and I cannot use the equipment that I purchased for daily exercise. And nobody from ICON can tell me when my parts are coming, and then the tech to replace them 5-10 days after that.
I told the today that I wanted to replace it with a better machine, because this machine is not worth the $1000+ spent on it. They told me to contact my purchasing institution. I told them I would report my situation on social media. You're reading that.
I dread what's next.. This is a very bulky machine that I built in place, and tossed the boxes and packaging. I have no idea how I'm going to get it back to the store for a return, or if they will even accept it at the store. I did not go cheap and expected quality for the price of this machine. I will give ICON one last chance with the upcoming warranty repair visit.
I will come back and add/edit to this post if the upcoming repairs show that this is a quality machine, but my expectations are low right now. I purchased this machine over 2 months ago in late October, and I'm still not able to use it.

I bought this machine as a 30th birthday gift for myself. It is amazing I love it have brittle spine disease, screw in my left knee and a terrible right knee and hip. I absolutely love this machine. I have no pain using this machine. It so easy on my body. Thank you. My husband was upset how much I spent, he finally tried it this weekend and said wow this is a very good machine. Trust me that's a lot coming from him :) I picked up in store and they assembled it for me Works perfectly very quiet machine. I can use it while my baby is sound asleep in the same room!!!

My wife and I bought this to loose weight. I picked up from the store and assembled myself. Assembly went well and machine worked when power was turned on. Went thru the manual and setup and all seemed well. First 15 minutes heard loud metal rubbing noise from right side roller. Not sure if something is not aligned properly. I inspected the noise and believe it to be coming from the internal bearings on the roller. I plan on spraying WD40 on the parts that are making noise. Machine seems well thought out. Noise may be installation error.

First of all, not sure what everyone else is complaining about. I picked this machine up and put it together myself. Had a couple little ones running around and asking for my attention and still took me about three hours. Missing one washer but a 5 minute run to Lowes and $0.25 took care of that :) Got it together, plugged it in, did all the calibration and updates and setup before trying anything. No disrespect, but reading some of the negative reviews I just don't get it. I understand the touchpad might not work out of the box...that's a chance you take with all electronics...and waiting for someone to come out and replace it?...Get a screwdriver, take the old one off and put the new one on. Stuff happens. Anyways, I could go on and on about that but that's not why I'm on here. I usually don't write reviews, but I'm sure anyone with common sense would take the one-star reviews with a grain of salt. Just like anything else you buy and use, things wear out and will break. When it does, get a new part, put it on, and keep going. This is as close to "commercial" equipment you are going to find, which, surprise, will also wear down and need parts replaced. This is a solid, smooth machine built by a company that specializes in elipticals.

Do not believe the positive reviews of this machine. This is by far and away the worst elliptical rider I have had the misfortune of owning. I have had over 6 service appointments with issues ranging from loud clanking noises to the machine coming off track and causing injury. After spending an hour on the phone with their customer service they will schedule and appointment with a technician who will arrive but have to order parts to correct the issue. The parts that arrive will likely be incorrect and/or damaged and require further service appointments that will still not correct that this machine is a piece of garbage. The worst part is I purchased an extended warranty through the store that would replace it after 3 visits. Too bad I can't use it until after the factory warranty expires.And the factory warranty has no such policy. They will just continue cost you time and cause aggravation that you don't need!

I bought the machine in April with the service plan, thank goodness. It is July and it might finally be fixed. The first thing wrong was the resistance motor was broke. Service guy came but didn't know what was wrong when he came so he didn't have a part. He ordered the part, 2 weeks later the part came to my house and than he came. They didn't send a motor. They sent a console. So a new part was ordered again. Two weeks later the part came in and than had to wait on service guy. He came and changed it out. I tried it with him there and it worked. On the next workout after 5 minutes it started jerking. Called again. Took a week or so for him to come out again. He forgot to tighten up something the last time he came. So hopefully it is fixed so I can use it since I've been making payments on it and the ifit program.

I purchased this elliptical for Christmas. Everything was fine until about the third use, The machine started to make a loud sound from the flyweel and a loud clicks from around pedals. A tech came to the house and told me that the problem was that the machine was on a carpet. I put playwood undernead and the machine started making an even louder knocking noise after the first thirty minutes of use, needless to say it is going back and I am getting my money back,
