This bike was a disaster out of the box. I am an avid road cyclist and have also logged many hours on several different types of exercise bikes. I Immediately knew there was a resistance issue as soon as I started peddling. I found that I could only set the bike and comfortably ride at a 2-3 resistance. The highest level I was able to peddle is 5-6 as a simulated steep incline. The A17u adjusts resistance between 1 to 24. I called Epic Customer Service Center. After over an hour of being walked through tearing the bike down to help them diagnose the issue they gave up because they didn't have the matching schematics. Guessing at what could be wrong the tech tried to order parts and schedule service. That's when their "computer crash" leaving me unconfirmed that anything was ordered or scheduled. Next, iFit would not log in unless I went to my computer and entered the token number into the iFit website, randomly generated by the bike each time I wanted to use the program. After only logged about 15 miles on the A17u the cheap plastic peddle crank covers showed an above level of wear from sneakers rubbing on the cover. The left peddle crank started making a clicking which could be felt through the peddle. But most important was the product safety issue. After trying out the A17u for the first time I noticed cuts across the tops of my knuckles on both hands. I discovered there is not enough clearance between the handle bar, at the point of the heart rate monitor contacts, and the bottom of the display housing. As I tried adjusting my hands to get an accurate pulse reading I once again cut my knuckles on the bottom seam of the display, which was very sharp. So...Buyer Beware! I return this bike to Dick's... The sales team at Dick's was very accommodating and awesome at processing the return.

This bike was a total lemon. The seat is very uncomfortable, turns out. The bike was relatively easy to assemble. However, it never worked properly---never used it even once! The manufacturer sent out a part and a technician, who discovered the real problem (a piece was bent inside, rubbing against the fly wheel and belt) and order more parts. When I called the company again, I was told that it would be 4-6 weeks to get the new order. Obviously, that doesn't really work for me, so I will be returning it ASAP. I was told that the EPIC bikes have a lot of issues.

So far I love my new exercise bike. Assembly was easy and setting up the wifi and ifit on the console was relativity simple after I read the directions.

This was fairly easy to set up with 2 people. Took maybe 1.5 hours. We had heard that the resistance was very hard even at low levels - this is only true until you choose a level. At the initial turn on the resistance is very high, but you simply choose a resistance then its perfectly fine and not too hard even for a beginner like myself. When working the bike is good. VERY (amazingly) quiet, easy to ride, seat is okay and interface is good. I like the upright position and ergonomics. We never bothered to turn on the wifi, use the speakers, or the special online workouts. The onboard fan is nice.
On a bad note - this bike broke twice. You could pedal but something wasn't right. Each time they had someone local come out to our house and look at it for free. First time he just put something back into alignment - then it broke. Second time a part was ordered and over a month later it was finally here and now its working. But now I have to call customer service again for the many-th time since it's squeaking on the right side. Works fine but squeaks often.
Customer service is US based and good. They said they would extend my warranty for the time lost when not in service.
I'm not sure I would recommend this bike since we've had so many problems but when it's working its a good bike.

Took me about 45 minutes to assemble. I got on bike and pedalled about 10 rotations when it became very difficult to pedal even though resistance stated 1. I removed the top cover and could see the belt was half way off and rubbing on metal assembly. I removed entire plastic housing and put belt back on (which 99% of the population would never do) and rotated the pedal and i could see that the inner wheel was warped and the belt worked itself off again. I reassemebled and am bringing back to store tomorrow. If they dont assemble another one for me to demonstrate at functionality at the store, i will demand a full refund. As a side note, the wifi instructions are not accurate. In order to get the wifi to search for a connection and to allow you to choose the connection and enter a password, you have to hold down a button for a few seconds. I think it was enter I cant remember. I was lucky to find it.

I just purchased my Epic A17U and have not really used it on a daily basis. I know that I will enjoy it...it has everything plus more than I need but hope to use all the features as I learn more about it. Our salesperson Cody at DICKS was absolutely awesome...he knows his product, explains everything at length and is very patient. He was extremely helpful...he is a real asset to DICKS!!!!!

After the exercise bike was assembled it worked well for about the first hour. It did seem like it took a lot of pedaling to get the programming to begin.1. This morning when I started pedaling loud clanking noises came from within the pedal assembly and I stopped. 2. The electric plug into the bike always seemed loose and I would have adjust the plug several times to get a connection when I began using the bike.Obviously, to have this exercise bike to malfunction with very little use is a major disappointment and inconvenience.

I find it very difficult to assembled. There were multiple parts, small parts and big parts. Even there was an instruction it took me 5 hours to assembled. It took my whole garage to lay out all the parts just to make sure I have all the parts shown on the sheets as indicated. But other than that this machine is pretty good not bad, thank you.

Very disappointing purchase.
Out of the box the power cable was loose. As I attempted to ride the bike the power cord would detach. Just to ride the bike for more than 2 minutes I had to wedge a screw driver under at the power connection to keep the cable attached.
After 2 weeks of using it the resistance became unstable. The lowest level of resistance was inconsistent during every rotation. What should be a smooth consistent rotation became a jerky and inconsistent. There is an obvious problem as this seems imbalanced with a spot during every rotation where the the belt would "squeak" as if rubbing abnormally with the belt. Basically, it now rides like a cheap $25 stationary bike from the 1970's you would buy in a garage sale.
Just a massive disappointment and waste of money. Even if this gets fixed I know that it is poor quality waiting to fail.
Don't buy it. I wish I hadn't.

The bike broke in 67 days. The left petel Mechanism broken off. I haven't call the company yet to see if they would fix it yet. I let you know what they said.
