EPIC A17U Upright Exercise Bike 3 5 23 23
Poor quality; broke within weeks Very disappointing purchase. Out of the box the power cable was loose. As I attempted to ride the bike the power cord would detach. Just to ride the bike for more than 2 minutes I had to wedge a screw driver under at the power connection to keep the cable attached. After 2 weeks of using it the resistance became unstable. The lowest level of resistance was inconsistent during every rotation. What should be a smooth consistent rotation became a jerky and inconsistent. There is an obvious problem as this seems imbalanced with a spot during every rotation where the the belt would "squeak" as if rubbing abnormally with the belt. Basically, it now rides like a cheap $25 stationary bike from the 1970's you would buy in a garage sale. Just a massive disappointment and waste of money. Even if this gets fixed I know that it is poor quality waiting to fail. Don't buy it. I wish I hadn't. May 24, 2013
Broken bike The bike broke in 67 days. The left petel Mechanism broken off. I haven't call the company yet to see if they would fix it yet. I let you know what they said. May 10, 2013
Good product Very pleased with the quality feel of everything. Wasn't difficult to assemble. Only negative would be that the lowest setting still has resistance so it can be difficult for those not used to it, but it makes for a good workout. April 16, 2013
Great Price, but... I bought this excercise bike on sale - GREAT DEAL. It wasn't too bad to put together (with help). Do note that the seat is hard...I will definitely have to buy a gel seat or something...it was not made for riding for a long time. MAJOR Complaint is the paint on the sides is already wearing/rubbing off and I have only used it 5 times April 5, 2013
Very hard to program This product is very hard to program. My wi-fi is connected and it still does not bring up any of the iFit workouts it's suppose to. When i press "onboard workouts" it says "not connected". Extremely frustrating product. May have to bring back and just get something more basic. April 2, 2013
Overall pretty good bike - minor issue Overall this is a nice bike for the price. Pretty easy to put together and very sturdy. Only complaint is that the paint on the pedal arm is already wearing off when the foot strap rubs against it as you pedal. Doesn't affect performance, just think the design should have taken that into account. March 26, 2013
Good Product (On sale good Price) Took me 40 minutes to assemble by myself (thought it was easy). I found the instructions clear and easy to read and had no issues. I liked that they thought enough in advance to install a line through the tube to pull the wire with. Most companies don't have that much fore thought. Thus far product works well and I have no issues. Will see if it holds up over the long run. Only time will tell. March 17, 2013
Great Bike for the price. After reading the reviews about how hard it was to assemble I was a little hesitant on buying the item. I bought it for the price point. It was on sale in the store. When I got it home my fiance and I put it together quite easily. If you read the instructions 2 people should be able to set it up within an hour without a problem. So far I've used it daily and it's held up to the abuse that I give it. The settings are really hard. My fiance can't get over level 4 without feeling it's taking it toll. I'm at level 16 before that happens. So It all really depends. Overall a very good product. I would recommend it to anyone. March 15, 2013
DO NOT PURCHASE I bought this bike back on November 15th, 2012. The date today is March 5th, 2013 and I have YET been able to actually use this bike. I purchased it from Dick's Sporting Goods new in box, assembled it in an hour at home, and noticed immediately two things were wrong. First, the fan in the console was broken. They shipped me a new console in 10 days. That was fixed. Second, the resistance was way too high for the lowest setting. They told me over the phone to reset the resistance motor, which is in the middle of the bike. It took over 2 hours just to get to the piece, which still didn't fix it. I called again, and had to place an order for a new resistance motor. Then, I had to place an appointment for a tech to come out. It took FIVE WEEKS for him to come out. He replaced the resistance motor and told me that motor was broken too. So he had to place an order for another. But he never did. After 7 days, I called to see where my part was. The customer service rep told me the tech placed an order but never confirmed it. It took another 7 days for the part to come, and another 5 days for the tech to come out. After an hour of the new tech trying to fix it with the 2nd resistance motor, he informed me that I needed a new fly wheel and belt. After 5 days I called customer service again and guess what; no parts order placed. I get my part 5 days later and the tech comes shortly after. They forgot the belt. So here I am, several months later and several hundred dollars later with a half deconstructed exercise bike sitting in my basement. I am beyond upset and I believe this will never get fixed. Very Satisfied so far... We purchased our bike from our local dealer - Dick's Sports. Took some half-hour to assemble, did not face with any serious assembly issues. All parts were supplied and the User's manual is just good enough to go through a smooth assembly. We are yet to go on to epicfit website for registration and wifi connection. All in all it seems to be good bike for the price. The workout ranges are quite adequate, we will not be working at higher resistances any way. We would recommend this unit to any one at this price whose goals are just to keep a good cardio going to reach sufficient health benefits. February 15, 2013
