Rated 5 out of 5 by Great bar pad! This pad is made well, and offers a lot of cushion and protection from the weight of the bar. Makes all the difference when doing squats. If you're uncomfortable when doing squats from the bar pinching your trapezius muscle, then you won't be able to focus as well on your squat. March 10, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by The quality exceeded my expectations. The diameter of the foam padding is much thicker than I expected. I was expecting a cheap vinyl covering but instead, the covering appears to be a cordura type material. The Velcro runs the length of the pad and the width of the Velcro makes a strong, tight seal. The pad will roll, so the lifter or spotter has to make sure the open slit in the foam is at the top when lifting or the bar will rest in the slit and the bar will essentially sit on the lifter's back of the neck. However, this is common sense and I don't see how this can be overcome when using a removable pad. The only way this pad could be improved is if it used a gel pad instead of a foam pad.
