My son needed a lightweight waterproof jacket with a hood that he could pack away in his backpack. This jacket fit the bill. The only thing I would change is the hood, but its designed to be worn while riding a motorcycle, so the hood doesn't really come down far enough to keep his face dry. It's made of pressed material like a super heavyweight dryer sheet, so I don't know how much abuse it will take, but it has kept my son dry through a 5.5 inch downpour. It packs down really small also.

I wish it had pockets for keys or what ever.... Over all coat is good quality.. The other issue is that dicks puts the anti theft tag through the coat leaving a pin hole... Guess it won't be water proof in that spot..

Rated 4 out of 5 by Dick-J Great product for price.
I bought this jacket just before Hurricane Sandy came to my area. Throughout all of the rain and wind this jacket kept me dry and was a good wind barrier as well. This was well tested as I was outside cleaning gutters for over two hours during a very steady rainfall. My only concern is at the sleeves where the elastic band around the wrist seemed to soak up water. Otherwise I look forward to testing this out in other conditions.

I actually use this jacket when I get caught in the rain on a motorcycle ride. The Frogg Eyez reflective piping adds visiblility and the fact that the hood zips up. It compresses to a small size which is a great feature for cycle enthusiasts with limited storage.

I went riding on my motorcycle and got in bad rain storm. I put on my suit and did not get wet. I stayed dry and I stayed cool. I did not get hot while I had it on. I would tell anyone that wanted one to get it. Great job!!
