This Field & Stream 48+6 Guns safe is spacious and offers several storage options. I needed a Gun safe that had plenty of room for my rifles and shotguns with options for storing my pistols. This Field & Stream 48+6 was the right choice. Plenty of storage space with options to change the set up to fit my needs. The factory door storage system is especially handy for small items, documents and hand guns. March 19, 2013
Temporary Protection! Overall my experience was very good, the personal support from the store people was great . The safe it self is what I expected for the money I spent. The door seal should be better, but for a 30 minute fire rating it will do. Overall the product will have to be upgraded to protect the investment I have in firearms, but for a time being and the money I had at the time it will do. March 19, 2013
Experienced Electrical Problems Too The safe is a great piece of equipment. But, the electronics are a piece of something less pleasant. After 3 attempts to trick out the electrical parts, the manufacturer is sending out a new safe to replace the Field & Stream. Stack On Service department is awesome! Contact the mfg if you have any electrical issues. They do not make the key pad for the F&S models. If they can't fix it they will replace the whole unit. March 6, 2013
Lock failed in less than 30 days I was excited to get the safe. Overall interior quality was average. My main objection is the lock failed in less than 30 days. I am now stuck using only the backup key to access. Safe is a good price, but good luck getting help if you have a problem. Only contact information is an email address. I will write another review when/if I am able to get the safe repaired. January 24, 2013
Great Safe This is a great safe.. Lots of space.. the rifle holders adjust to different heights, the shelf holders are very tight and it comes with plenty of shelves.. The one major CON comes in with the door (+8) attachments.. the Velcro is kinda iffy,, it will not hold a 44 or my TC also... if you put any gun in the door and its in alignment with the vertical interior supports it will not shut.. meaning the door is really (+4) at best.. Good product! It is very large and you can adjust the shelves. Only con I can think of is it says 48+8, they mean guns without scopes. If you have scopes on your guns like I do, it will NOT hold 48 rifles. But overall, I am very pleased with it! October 18, 2012
