Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 80 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice stand, some drawbacks I own two of these stands, one I bought last year, and an additional one for this year's season. It's a very nice stand, sturdy and comfortable. Depending on where you put it, you don't need to use all 3 ladder sections, so you could have a 5', 10', or 15' stand. Worth the money, but there are a few drawbacks. Most importantly, I needed longer ratchet straps for the big 3' black walnuts where I set up these stands. I thought it was relatively easy to put together, and the orange washers/bushings are nice (though the pesky nuts are not and I wish they were after looking in the dirt for 10 minutes). The directions could have been a little better--e.g., when putting the L-shaped seat supports on in the very first step, it's difficult to tell the exact orientation (the short part of the L goes underneath the foot rest, not on top). Another helpful tip would have been not to tighten things up very much until you have most of the seat parts assembled. I would recommend a couple of real crescent wrenches or a socket set rather than the cheap assembly wrenches that come with the stand--though these wrenches do work satisfactorily. Some folks said you should assemble the stand on site, so I carried the boxes the couple hundred yards further than the tractor goes, and did just that. DON'T DO THAT. It's August and the mosquitoes are awful, and the light in the woods is awful after work. Plus if you drop anything in the dirt it's annoying, and you have to haul all the packaging back out of the woods. Put the top section together in your barn/garage/etc. and then take the ladder sections, the assembled seat section, straps/hardware, and the bar out to woods. I'd recommend at least two people to raise it up into the tree if you use all 3 ladder sections, unless you have a long rope and can use part of the tree as a high lever--3 people are better for raising. I found the safety harness to be of a cheaper, though adequate variety, and like the stand straps, the tree strap was not large enough for the big trees. So I'm upgrading my tree straps and harness. Overall, this is a very nice stand that feels sturdy when ratcheted into place and its comfortable to sit in for hours at a time. The shooting rail length is not adjustable, but you can fold it and the seat up for standing. August 19, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Stand. Great Value! I love the new color of these new Field& Stream stands, and the bright orange washers make it easier to put together in the field without lossing nuts and bolts. I was able to put this together myself and put it up into the tree myself (with some difficulty); would recommend this to be at least a 2 person job though. The extra thick padded cushion makes for a comfortable wait for deer to come by. The only complaint I would have is the shooting rail makes a noise of metal hitting metal whenever you put it down to rest your gun on it (but nothing some camo duct tap can't fix). October 17, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best stands on the market! I have bought many stands but these Field and Stream stands are well built. They go together very easy with well written instructions and pictures. The ladder sections are extermly strong and sturdy. I bought a outpost 16 and a outpost 17 XL Best stands I have ever owned by far! Don't wast your money on cheap Menards Knock Offs called BIG DOGS or even the Big Game ones. They are junk compared to these. I'm 6'5 300lbs and all of these other stands feel like there going to bend and break. These Outpost stand feel so much more study and safe! Nick Central OHIO October 14, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by GREAT! What more can be said... I have sat in many tree stands and this one by far is constructed better than any of the rest. I am extremely satisfied with the thicker ladder rungs and rails. The sturdier construction makes it easier to grasp and climb. I would definitely buy this brand again. In fact, I may start replacing older stands. October 17, 2012

Rated 4 out of 5 by Good but small. It is a well built stand, put when we put it up in the tree and got into it it was much smaller that we thought. November 18, 2012

Rated 4 out of 5 by well built sturdy treestand Very nice stand I like the d shape tubing and wide ladder. The only thing I am not crazy about is the support bracket for the shooting rest. Very comfortable and I shot a huge 9 pointer the first week I had it so no complaints here. November 19, 2013
