The North Face Men's Seymore Winter Pants
"Jack of all trades" Winter Pants
These NorthFace Winter pants are awesome. They're comfortable, lightweight, stylish, warm, durable, and can be used for many winter applications.
They are thin enough to wear as pants without any base layers underneath in normal weather, but also hold heat well when you need it (I've used them for 16hrs. of shoveling in below zero weather with only a base layer underneath). They are great for skiing, snowshoeing, working outside, ice skating, pond hockey, ice-fishing, etc. They do it all.
The only issues I have with these pants are the length and the built-in gators.
The legs seem 1-1/2 inches too long and drag behind my boots. I tend to step on them a lot.
I solved this issue with a pair of athletic stretchy shoe laces, the kind you pull tight through a plastic locking thing. I wrap them around the bottom of the pants and cinch tight.
The built-in gators are not very tight around my winter boots. They could have come with some way to tighten them, for instance, a button or velcro.

I bought these on clearance from Dick's the week before a ski trip. They worked perfectly. I was never cold or wet. There is plenty of room for me to move around. I never felt restricted. They even fit very nicely over the outside of my ski boot. Great product. I found them on a great clearance sale and saved nearly 50% off the normal price so the value was great.

Got these on clearance and saved some money. I've always liked TNF products and this pair of pants is right up there. I wore these winter camping with a layer of thermals. Temps were in the teens and I was nice and warm.

Love these pants!
I am a woman, 5'5, 150 lb and the men's small fits perfectly! High waisted but still plenty roomy in the seat and hips, good length too. I love hiking and snowshoeing with my pup in these, as well as taking in late season Spartan football games--Go Green! The lining is soft and breathable, so I usually don't have to wear another layer underneath. My favorite snow pants ever. Highly recommend!
