Beyond expectations!!! Great product. Really keeps you concealed. Out of the elements in the elements. Camo blends in anywhere. December 22, 2014
Great for Hunting in Cold Weather The cover is great for keeping my dad warm while hunting this season. I like the pockets inside for storage. I'm looking into buying one for myself for next year season. November 10, 2014
really glad that I found this replacement cover. The service from Dick's was absolutely amazing. I believe that it was on my front porch in two days. I originally bought the complete F&S Outpost 17' Elite ladder stand kit in fall of 2011. My intention was to leave it in place on my hunt club property. Somewhere I may have heard that the manufacturer didn't want me to do this, but the difficulty of setting it up and taking it down in mountain terrain, needing three people, makes the idea of moving it on a regular basis, somewhat unrealistic. Anyway, after two years in place, the cover was ripped to shreds by the wind. I was really glad to find that this replacement cover was available as I had been trying to figure out some way to cover the stand with plywood. I really like this stand since I put in a make-shift plywood floor and added a comfy cushioned chair. I gave the cover 3 stars because I wish that it was made of heavier material and had a lot more stronger reinforced tie down cords. I may try to make some additional tie downs for the open window flaps out of tarp hold-down attachments. I don't consider this to be a two person stand since most hunters will want to have guns, or bows and gear bags with them. It is a great stand for one person, however. I'm hoping that I can get more than two years out of this cover by keeping the windows tied open and repairing torn tie-downs in a timely manor. I didn't need the roof frame that was included with this purchase. I understand that it's there to be used with other stands that didn't come with a roof but I wish that they had explained this clearly in the instructions as I spent some time trying to figure out whether or not there was any reason why I might need it. This is a long overdue great idea! This is what seems to be a great idea! I cannot try it till late summer, early fall. But it appears to be of the usual quality that you expect from F&S. I have always found their gear to be a very good bang for the buck. However, I do have to say that I felt this item was overpriced, I think Dick's can do better on the price. May 7, 2014
Great product This blind will keep the weather off of you. It will keep you hid excellent. You can stay dry warm and comfortable and hunt all day. March 10, 2014
Hunt rainy, windy weather! I bought this product strictly to bow hunt wild hogs. They are almost 100% nocturnal and show up in all weather conditions. This double ladder stand shelter will keep the wind and most of the rain off of you. This allows for a longer sit during cold wet weather. A longer sit can lead to more hogs on the ground. It does not appear to frighten deer or hogs. February 16, 2014
Had to purchase an outpost Elite Treestand Kit Well this purchase might be a case of good money chasing bad but I needed to buy two kits to replace the originals that came with the stands. I have 160 Acres and place double tree stands strategically around my farm for flexibility. The stands and the associated blinds I purchased several years ago have worn well. However, out of the box the zippers fell apart on two stands I purchased a couple years ago while zipping the windows shut. The zippers themselves are cheap aluminum that break under normal use. Aside from the cheap zippers the roof leaks quite a bit. Take clear pro-seal and spray the roof from the inside to stop the drip. Also, as you can see from the picture, light can silhouette the occupant from the back. Being noticed while hunting is obviously what you want to prevent while hunting and that defeats the purpose of the blind. I take a rain jacket and tuck it over the top of the roof rail and place the arms on the outside of the blind. It works very well. It should be redesigned with a flap rolled up in the back of the ceiling that fastens to the back of the blind below the gap that silhouettes the occupants. It could be fastened with buttons or Velcro. Personally I prefer buttons since Velcro can stick to clothing and is loud when hunting. February 1, 2014
BEST BLIND! This blind is easy to set up. Do yourself a favor and pick up a few camo ratchet straps. The pull straps are ok, but in a treestand, you can create the leverage needed to lock this unit down to the tree without a lot of effort. Other than that, it's quiet, keeps the wind and elements off of you, and fits any double-ladder-two-man-stand out there. Best $100 I ever spent on hunting equipment. I just purchased a "little Buddy Heater" and I was warm and comfortable all day in the snow and freezing rain. Buy this now! January 8, 2014
easy to use set up wasnt bad it is nice and warm no wind but the windows need all to be like the front one it has two openings when its 8 deg and windy it gets cold and the little windows hide you better December 25, 2013
easy set up This was a much needed cover for both safety and keeping warm. It was easy to set up but would have been better it there were rachet fasteners instead of pull straps to keep it in place. It tends to slide loose/down. December 7, 2013
