Won't stay cold for longer than 15 minutes. Velcro straps are nice and it contours well to your shin, but that's about it.
I understand you don't want to ice an injured body part for too long, but <15 mins is not enough for me personally.
I have gone back to using a cold compress and a tensor bandage for my icing needs.
Would not recommend this product.

Much better than a zip lock baggie or a bag. They don't stay COLD for very long, less than 15 minutes but there are two so I apply the second one right after the first. I like the velcro closure so I can move around while my leg gets an ice treatment.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Judy Great Concept - Poor Quality
Loved the product. It worked great and attached easily. However the inside balls or pearls started leaking out after only a few times I used them. I will ask for a refund. I would recommend the product because it works well but caution about the quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jackie23 Love these!
After running I always have a problem with my shins hurting. These work great (hot or cold) to soothe them after. MUCH better then heating pads or ice packs. More convenient as well with a strap to keep them secure. I would definitely recommend them for anyone that has shin splints!

My teenager uses these to ice her shin splints after practice. They both fit great on her legs. Love the adjustable straps.

Amazing pretty much sums them up. These things are fantastic for my shin splints they stay cold the proper amount of time and lie flat enough to go under almost all my pants. (skinny jeans need not apply obviously). They can be heated up if you need heat but I have stuck with the ice. If you have shin splints and need ice wraps look no further, the price is a little high but these things are worth it 100x over.
