Rated 5 out of 5 by Very nice stand I bought this stand because I am thrifty (cheap). I have stands that I made myself out of plywood and EMT that weigh about the same or a little more than this stand. I will buy more of these stands because they are pretty easy for my to install on a tree, which is important to me, and it does not make noise, which is also important. Using this stand, I would sit for about an hour then stand for about 15 minutes. The seat height was pretty comfortable for my 6 foot height and the padding is pretty good too. I tie tree stands to my pack when walking a long way so I don't need straps to carry it. At $40.00 each for these, I won't be building another tree stand ever! I did replace the bottom strap with a camo ratchet strap because it locks the stand to the tree so I could tap dance if I wanted. I am really impressed with this tree stand's comfort and quietness. Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect. Simple & Quiet I have four of these, two of the older style with two vertical posts, and two of the newer ones with a single larger vertical support. They all work great, are 100% quiet due to plastic bushings used extensively. The platform has excellent grip with any boots I have tried. It is not too heavy so dragging it up into the tree and strapping it down is pretty straightforward. I like the simplicity of the design. For bow hunting, it is important to not have anything get into the way or making noise when pulling the bow back. This no frills stand has everything you need and nothing you don't. If there was a way to latch the seat in the up position and hold it there quietly this would be the only improvement I can think of. This is not a stand to go hiking with, obviously. It is made out of steel and it does not come with shoulder straps. For anything more than half a mile from your vehicle look for one of the more expensive lightweight alternatives. November 9, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love it This thing is perfect. Large enough base to bow hunt from, seat comfortable enough to sit all day and light enough to carry. I substituted the bottom strap for a ratchet strap to make it feel more secure. As a bonus I loop the ratchet strap through the base of the stand to make it a backpack! For the sale price you can't go wrong November 8, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor quality When assembled this stand will not lay flat against the tree, hence making you sit at a forward leaning angle. Plan on returning this product. Guess you can expect this quality when buying a $40 tree stand. November 4, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Cheap stand and wrong parts I like the stand and would like to use mine but they sent too short of cables. For the stand to go on a tree the front of the platform is angled up significantly. I own 11 other hang ons I know this one isn't right. October 20, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Almost perfect Great stand for the money. Better straps would make this perfect. September 24, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Stand for the money This is a good stand for $40. Buy an extra ratchet strap to use for backup. Makes the stand rock solid. August 25, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Perfect LITTLE Treestand You can't beat the price. $40 at Dicks Sporting Goods is the best deal you'll find anywhere. The only thing that isn't so great about it is the platform. Its pretty small but if you fold the seat up when you shoot its more comfortable. Overall a great tree stand that I own 3 of and hopefully plan on getting more next year. August 11, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Worth the money and easy to hang ! Purchased this month and tried it out found it was very easy to hang on. The platform is a bit small small as my toes hang off the edge when seated. Seat is very comfortable. There is plenty of room when standing and the seat flops up out of the way. The full body fall restraint is very easy to put on and easy to adjust. August 2, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Affordable hang on stand. Purchased for use on public land. Priced well for the quality of construction and finish. Comes with all the silencing bushings so no squeaks from movement in the stand. All in all an affordable option for multiple setups. July 3, 2015
