Great fit and comfort Recently purchased snake boots, and I tried them out on my property this past weekend. I find them to be extremely lightweight and comfortable, with great support. March 13, 2015
Great Boots So far so good on the boots. I agree that you need to go 1/2 size bigger than your normal boots you wear daily. December 30, 2014
Not what I expected Boots looked good in store and felt good walking up and down the isles. However, like some others that reviewed these boots, while walking in the woods, the boots are so stiff that the sides cave inward pinching my ankles. I tried several lacing styles to no avail. Took them back. I think if that leather side strap at the ankles wasn't there, the boots might have been acceptable. December 1, 2014
What a Great Boot! the F&S 15' Snake are the Bomb!!! today is Sept 10th 2014. ive had Trail cams or for a couple months now. before I arrived at my grandmothers 203 acres where i deer hunt, I decided to stop at Dicks sporting goods. I decided to buy these boots. I arrived at the hunting property and immediately put these boots on and Walked all through the woods to check all of my trail cams, through small streams that were 8-10 inches deep. I must say these boots held up flawlessly. My Feet stayed dry the entire time. i even stood still in 10 water hoping to cool my feet off anad the boots never leaked and my feet were still hot, lol.. But thatz fine with me due to the protection that these boots offer. 3 days away from opening day of Archery Deer season here in Ga. these will definitely be my Scouting/Hunting boots hopefully for a few years to come. these boots are extreamley Comfy... Field and Stream Snake Boots After reading several reviews on various sites that these boots were not water tight and several people had fitment problems I gambled and bought a pair. My experience (6 months) with them has been great. I've walked many miles both in and out of high calf water, plum thickets etc. and had zero problems. Did my feet get wet? Yes. But not from leaking---just sweat-sweat sweat. As for not fitting well, if you order get the wrong size I can see how they would be a problem. I bought mine at a local store so I could try on several sizes. With that said, I got a pair 1/2 size larger than my shoe size (a little loose without cold weather socks) and sure enough the boots were not very comfortable the first 2 uses. Even wearing the thicker socks, they still rubbed my ankles. The problem wasn't the boots, it was the way I laced the boot up. Don't over tighten the lower eyelets AND leave the first two rungs (they put pressure around the ankle) only snug, not firm. That solved my fit problem. As for leaking, I'm sure F & S would warranty the boots if they leak. I only give this a 1 star because F & S should sell a foot cooler with the boot! (Only joking) Their a great buy worth 5 stars. So far so good I purchased the boots because I plan to hunt timber property in south Georgia. I wore them only one time, but so far so good. I had to walk through 12+ inches of water for about 100 feet, and my feet stayed dry, which made me very happy. Luckily, I didn't have to test the boots' ability to protect against snake bites. The first time out I wore them for about 5 hours, and they were very comfortable - no blisters or rubbing on feet. Initially, I tied them too tight and the ankle-break area was rubbing just above my ankles, but that went away after I loosened the laces. June 30, 2014
Feels Great I've had these for six months now. The other day I arrived at the Game Lands to find the access gate locked so I had to hike in. Total of 6 miles and my feet felt great the whole time. Very waterproof and when hunting in and around the swamp, I feel very protected from snakes. As others have said, they can get a little hot but I'll take it considering the protection and the comfort of the foot bed. April 25, 2014
Great boot This is a very nice looking boot and comfortable from first wear. It is a little hot to wear but worth it for the added protection and reassurance when in the woods. March 29, 2014
Lightweight and waterproof. Had to wear them several times to make an honest decision as to whether or not I would like them. They do pinch a little at the ankle at first but skipping the large speedlace at ankle level a couple of times has this almost worked out. My feet were not tired at the end of long days hunting. I would wear thick socks as they do run a little large. March 24, 2014
A little dissapointed These were said to be water proof, but I was wading in some water that was only a little above ankle deep and my feet were completely wet. March 15, 2014
