These boots are outstanding. Comfortable, durable provide good protection. First day I wore them hunting, killed a 9pt buck, now they are my "lucky" boots. Also had a small "ankle biter" dog attack and barely noticed. A great purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5áby Ridgerunner Very happy with mine
As a precaution I sprayed mine with a water-proofing spray before wearing them into the woods for the first time. I have waded creeks with them and so far dry feet. These boots did not need any break-in period. They are vey comfortable. I am flat-footed and they are a god-send for long walks in the woods. Some may not like the lace up closure, but, I favor that because I can make them fit much better than a slip-on. Thankfully I haven't had to test them against a snake, so, I cannot attest to that; but I am depending on the company's reputation in that category. I would recommend them.

Rated 2 out of 5áby JFonteSr. Stay out of the water!!!
I am a first time buyer of Field and Stream Snake Boots and a avid hunter. Comfortable boot. I had no break in period. Their claim of water proof uppers keep the elements out is less than true. I had worn the boots about 12 or 15 times during archery season here in central Florida, where snake boots in my opinion are a must. Started walking through some water with a depth that was about 7 to 8 inches deep and they just started leaking in from the back of the boot just above my heal. I had walked through water this deep a couple of times during archery season and had no problems. Don't know what the fix is but they should not claim water proof. Great boot for dry places but I wont be buying another pair.

áby squiggy Snake boots!
Actually I never wore any type of snake boots ever before! However I bought these boots on 10/27/2013 and have been doing a lot of hunting where I had to do a lot of walking on one of our South Carolina WMA's. On Saturday 09 November,2013 I was walking thru area of heavy fallen trees and logs and stepped on a 3"dia.5-6 foot rattle snake and it struck me just above my right ankle!! Needless to say if I had not been wearing these boots I probabaly wouldn't be here now typing this review! I have two fang marks approx.2" apart on the leather portion of boot! This is definatly best investment I"ve have made in some time! They worked and kept me from a bad bite! Other than the fact that it felt like I was hit with a baseball bat im here to tell you that they work!

Rated 4 out of 5áby Moneyman Great value, long term quality yet to be determined.\]
Second year owning and wearing them in the field. Broke them in like my other boots, comfortable and expect to wear them for some time. Price and quality are good and am buying another pair for my grandson for this season.

Rated 3 out of 5áby Bulldozer5 Ok boots???????
They are ok boots for the money. I have only had them on a couple times while hunting. They seen to fit ok but after a while of walking in them they are somewhat uncomfortable. I would be nice if the option to choose a different camo pattern such as Realtree was available.

Rated 5 out of 5áby John in CFL Great boot.
Comfortable AND water proof out of the box. Didnt have time to break them in, or to apply any type of water proofing. Was in the swamp next day wearing them. Dry feet all day is a good thing!

Rated 4 out of 5áby squirrel man good boot for the money
i havent had the chance to wear them much in the field. the first time they pinched in the ankle area and drove me crazy and wasnt to happy with them but decided to give them second chance while scouting this past weekend. on the way to the woods i thought about it and wondered what would happen if i didnt lace them up all the way they want bother my ankles and bingo it worked, i walked all afternoon with no problem they never bothered me once. still a little stiff but now im not regretting breaking them in.
