Great Boots I got these boots, based off 2 of my hunting buddies who have them. I got myself a set, and love them. After you get them broke in they are very comfortable. They seem to be alttle bigger from the size. I normally wear 11W, and I got these in 10 1/2, and they are just a "tad" loose on my feet. I just added a extra insole, to make them feel tighter. product great after third pair First pair I bought out of my local dicks, they leaked. After the headache of reordering due to a sale at my local store wasn't a sale the online store was willing to honor(My local store really stepped up and covered the remaining cost), the second pair arrived. My wife picked them up without opening the box and they went right back once I saw them. They were made in a hurry, soles half glued and glue all over the leather. Again the local store was great, and yes another headace reordering!!!! The third pair and pair I am currently hog hunting the swamp, or metal detecting with are great.Waterproof 12" plus and after a short break in comfortable for long tracks of walking. Boots a little stiff at first I suggest two pair of socks the first few uses due to sides of ankles being rubbed raw. But what do you expect, they do have to be thick enough to protect from a snake bite, even my most expensive cowboy boots had to be broke in, and if you ever properly broke in a pair you know what i'm talking about (ouch). Over all once recieving a properly assembled pair all is well. i would recomend them and plan on buying my son the same pair in his size of course. do buy from the store so you can try them on, sizes are weird from one snake boot to the next. hopefully you are as pleased with your local store as I am and all goes well. My rating for the on-line store is AVERAGE at best, not my first issue with them. good luck and happy hunting. February 24, 2013
GREAT BOOTS TOOK THEM OUT ON A HUNT LAST WEEK AND I COULDNT BE MORE IMPRESSED I MUST OF HIKED ABOUT 8 MILES IN AND OUT OF MY HUNTING SITE AND HAD NOT ONE BIT OF PROBLEMS VERY COMFORTABLE AND NOT ALL THAT HEAVY CONSIDERING THE SIZE AT LEAST FOR ME THAT IS ALL IN ALL I THINK THESE ARE A GREAT PAIR OFF HUNTING BOOTS AND WILL GLADLY KEEP HUNTIN WITH THEM February 20, 2013
Field & Stream Snake Boot I bought this boot in early January to prepare for the Python hunt in the Everglades. I camped at Bear Island and spent 7 days walking in the woods, over 50 miles in the back country. Much of my walk was in t water between 3 inches to 15 inches. These boots performed remarkably well as long as I did not step in water deeper thant about 15". My feet stayed dry although at times I thought they were wet. Water never entered the boot. However, I have sprayed to boots with 5 coats of water repellent to make sure. Very comfortable. Ran across an Easter Diamondback and several Mocassins but no Pythons. January 27, 2013
A Real Review of a Great Boot... I purchased these boots to hunt a WMA in West Palm Beach, FL. This area is known to be extremely wet with plenty of Cottonmouths and Rattlers. I needed a boot that can withstand the elements as well as protect against venomous snakes. My first impression was that the boots felt comfortable and not too stiff. The start of the hunt involved a water crossing about 12-15 inches deep. My feet stayed completely dry along with the boots. I was pleasantly surprised that the material didn't absorb any water keeping the boots lightweight. I walked about 5-10 miles through mud, water, and grass. The boots performed flawlessly with excellent traction and were very quiet. My buddy had on some rubber boots that made a lot of noise compared to these boots. Fortunately I didn?t test them versus a snake, but I?m sure they will be fine. I also can?t say much for durability since they are still new. January 1, 2013
Great boots @ great price Bought these for my hubby for Christmas. Not the ones he was asking for but when he opened them, he loved them. He says they're super comfortable and plenty warm. Not to mention that I got them at an excellent price. Would definitely recommend them to a friend. December 26, 2012
