Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Broke in first game Purchased this stick on clearance as appeared to be a great value, however played one game with stick and it broke. Replacement stick will not be Easton but perhaps CCM or Bauer. January 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by absolutely outstanding i have decided to get this stick because I don't like the vapor 2.o. when I first took my first shot with it, it went so much faster than the 2.0 and its so much more accurate, feels like your picking up a feather.so now im getting more copies. overall this stick is god for any level! you have to get this it is standing!!! Rated 5 out of 5 by Instant improvement to my game! I should start by saying that I have always been skeptical about playing with a composite stick over wood sticks, either on ice or on the floor (since I never thought a half-pound drop in weight and arguably less durability warranted 4x the price over a wood stick). However, after a lot of research and taking a chance on a Mako M2 (2012, white-and-orange model as shown here), I realize what I've been missing. //////////////// I'm right handed, and settled on a Cammaleri (P4) blade pattern with a 100 flex. I'm approx. 5' 8" and 165 lbs., but have always been happy using and training with quality wood sticks, hence I'm used to leaning into my shots a bit and prefer the stiffer-than-recommended flex for my body type (most manufacturers recommend an 85 flex for me). //////////////// I instantly saw a boost in my game after buying this stick - besides the blade pattern being a good fit for how I play (5.0 lie, 3/8" curve, mid-heel, closed face), this stick is very, very quick and has a mid-to-low kick point. When using the Mako M2, my shots and passes (snap and slap shots in particular) were instantly more accurate and with a quicker release, and my stickhandling got a boost as well. As a note, I'm currently using this stick for Roller (inline) hockey, but intend to use it for ice as well. //////////////// If you're used to wood or low-quality composite (or aluminum) sticks and are looking for a replacement or upgrade, this stick (and stick line) is definitely worth a look. It's a good quality stick that has a solid, "mid-grade" feel where you'll get a lot of performance for the money you spend. When I need a new one, I'll definitely be looking at the Easton Mako line again. //////////////// Additional Note: Many websites list this stick as being made in China - however I'd like to note that the model I purchased was, in fact, made in Vietnam. I'm not sure if there are differences between the plants, but so far, my Vietnamese Mako has been excellent! //////////////// Final Note: It's worth saying that I tested both this stick and a wood/ABS CCM U+ 04 (Senior), and chose this over the U+ 04 (there was really no comparison - while I liked the U+ 04, the Mako M2 is a major improvement).
