Rated 3 out of 5 by Snowbelter Not so easy to use The Atlas 8 Series snowshoes are touted as easy to use, especially the bindings. They are easy to put on, but hard to keep tightened. The nylon straps slip and need frequent re-tightening. The plastic clip designed to keep them secure merely clamps onto the shoe, and one fell off and was lost within the first 10 minutes of use. The plastic heel strap seems flimsy and liable to break in a year or two. I haven't been able to keep it fastened securely, since the strap slips easily out of the plastic clip and off the primitive buckle's tongue. The shoes themselves work well, snow doesn't stick. It's a fun toy, but nothing I'd take for a long walk because I fear I'd be slogging back after a real failure. January 16, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by CZ-stl A hassle Purchased for annual CO trip instead of renting. Straps loosen and require frequent stops to tighten. One ankle strap repeatedly disconnected. Snowshoe came off on a snowshoe trail more than once. My friends with cheap rentals had no issues at all. These take away the joy of the sport. February 23, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Tundra NA I like the style but the strapping could be better. Not to fond of the material of the heel strap. December 21, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Morsecode Yet to be determined... I got these on sale, so the courage to buy them without having any experience with snow shoes or even getting to try them on was a risk I was willing to accept. If we get snow this winter I'll be sure to post feedback from my experience, as they have yet to be used. December 20, 2012
