Rated 4 out of 5 by Not bad for the price. Picture Quality is decent. Night Pictures have been fair. Could have better clarity. February 26, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by For the money, it works This camera has a motion sensor activated IR camera, which works just fine. However, it also has a "flextime" feature that allows you to set the camera to take time-lapse video for an hour and fifteen minutes or so at the beginning and end of the day. This flextime feature is designed to capture game during peak movement periods....which is sunrise and sunset. Although I didn't know what flextime was when I purchased the camera, I have found that this feature has proven to be more useful than the motion sensor with regards to capturing photos of game. You have to remember that the motion sensor only triggers within 50 feet of said sensor and that isn't that long of a range....to expect game to pass within that range all the time is unreasonable. But, if you know, for instance, that Tom Turkey roams a certain field and you wish to see their movement patterns, you absolutely can't beat the flextime feature. The video feature is pretty nice; you can opt for it to take photos or 15 second videos. I would say that 4 megapixels is the bare minimum you should consider with respect to any game camera; anything less than that is going to give you an inability to zoom in and take a good look at whatever it is the camera is photographing or videographing. This camera takes surprisingly sharp black and white photos in dark conditions (illuminated by on-board IR) and color photos during the daytime. May 15, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Failure rate I have had two Wildgame Innovations cameras, an IR3 and an IR5 both failed after one year. The IR5 just quit working entirely, couldn't even turn it on at the beginning of the second hunting season I had it. I did not buy the extended warranty, but DICK's was kind enough to swap me out on an older model IR3. I am trying to use that one for the second year, but it is failing now. It will take pictures of me but not game. Camera is set up in a place well populated by game. Can't even capture images of squirrels. Am about to give up on game cameras. I can't afford to buy a new camera every year. Besides, if you spend all this money on gadgets your venison will cost more per pound than Angus Beef. Kind of defeats the purpose for some. Rated 1 out of 5 by This product is worthless I could not be more disapointed. The few pictures it took were good quality, but the game had to be standing directly in front of the camera less than 10 yards. I watched a sow and two cubs pose for a picture at 15 yards in front of the camera for more than 10 seconds broadside. It couldnt have been a better pose for where the camera was setup. I was excited to review the pictures with my son and to my disbelief the only pictures on the camera were of me checking the size of the tracks after the bear left. I'm not putting this junk in a bear box next year, hopefully the bears get it. December 24, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Both Failed Within a Year I am very disappointed. When they worked, they were great, but one lasted just about a year and the other only six months. No, I didn't send in the warranty. I am very sad because now I have to buy another camera after wasting a $100. June 18, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by garabage Poorly made. Fails to detect. Not impressed with this brand at all. January 10, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by No nighttime pictures I bought this camera the day after Thanksgiving. Right out of the box, the nighttime pictures were solid black. You cannot even see an outline of the object it was photographing. The camera only snaps a picture if you are standing directly in front of it. It has not taken a single picture of any game during the day or at night. December 12, 2012
