Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by They'll do. Good product. I'm female and I bought men's 34/32 because 32/32 were out of stock. I'm 5'3" 120 pounds I normally wear a Columbia size 6. I tried them with my Long John base layer and there is still room left. I don't mind the extra room but I would have preferred 32/32 but for the discounted price of less than 1/2 of other sites charging $100. I will keep them. I will have on a 3/4 length jacket so no big deal with the slack in size. They ride high on the waist. I know they will be warm. NOW they are too long. I normally like 28" inseam so I will have them shortened. I will lose the drawstring and little boot hook but this is what I want. There is a side ankle/leg zipper, no problem with making them shorter(they zip downward). I don't know the cost yet. This will not be the normal $6. job. The quality is really good. Columbia makes quality products. July 29, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Just what I was looking for in outdoor winter active pants. I was looking for an outer layer for snow shoeing, xc skiing, and now "ski shoeing" with my new Altai Skis. I ordered 3 different brands at the same time and the Columbia Passo Alto was the heavier/warmer of them, and has additional features, flexibility and fit that met my needs here in north central Washington on the east slopes of the Cascades where the snow gets deep and the winter temps run with average daily highs in the 20s and overnight lows in the single digits to teens. Details like zipper pulls and a lace hook for your boots show that these pants are thought out and intended for winter activities. I've only had them out once since they arrived, but I can tell they will serve the purpose well. The others may be more suited to warmer weather or spring/summer/fall hiking, but if you're looking for a winter active layer these are well worth consideration. December 27, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Quality, Comfort & Practical At even a higher price, these pants would be worth it. But on sale and w/Dick's coupon discount...they were an unbelievable find! Although a woman, I usually prefer [most] men's hiking pants to women's because they sit higher on my waist which I find more comfortable when hiking plus guy's pants tend to have more pockets & other useful features than women's pants. (A medium in these fit my normally size 6 frame for any other women reading this interested in sizing info and for guys fyi these are cut on the smaller side.) Columbia consistently makes quality merchandise w/more practical features than most other outdoor clothes manufacturers. Omni-Heat metallic lining is superior for warmth on 30 degree-days (added base layer takes you comfortably below 20). Gusseted crotch, articulated & extra padded knees, drawstring cinch bottoms w/ankle zips & snaps, ample cargo & rear zip pockets, along w/water repellent material make these a go-to trail pant till warm spring temps kick in. Rated 4 out of 5 by Super Comfortable, very easy to move in Pants were bought for a female, even though they are men's pants. Very comfortable. Bought to wear Snow Tubing. Did very well. Still a little cold, but temperature was 24 degrees with snow, so overall pant did perfect. March 10, 2013
