Wonderful Lightweight Jacket
My 13 year old son wanted this jacket, so he'd look cool like his dad (mine is from about 4 seasons ago). The jacket always looks sharp no matter what kind of day it's had, bottom of the locker at school, used as a pillow in the car, whatever, always looks good when you put it on.
This is a lightweight jacket, so if it's very cold plan on layering it. He has a Spyder fleece that he wears under it if it's below 25 degrees or so. The wind doesn't go through it but it is not insulated, just a light fleece lining.
I don' know how waterproof it is but, light drizzle and snow are no problem for it. The fabric seems to breath so you don't get overheated in it.
The sizing runs a little small, so go up one size especially if you want to wear much under it, like heavy sweater or another light weight jacket.
Haven't decided how well I like the pockets yet. There are 3 of them, all on the outside. The chest pocket has a hole for a ear bud wire to go inside. The thing about the pockets that I kind of go back and forth on is they are mesh on the inside.
Don't let the pockets stop you from getting this jacket, we love ours.
Be careful where you buy your Spyder gear, there are some fakes out there especially on some of the online auction sites.
