Marmot Girls' Starstruck Down Jacket
My daughter loves this coat. Waterproof and warm. Only issue is fit. My daughter is 11 and 5'0" and very lean and had to order an XL. And she never wears anything in an XL

Great coat but expensive
I bought this coat (size S/sleeves a little shorter than I would like for growing room but body was wide) for my 8 year old daughter (49" and 50 lbs.) as she was outgrowing her old one (Lands End down parka). She wanted a down jacket because she complained about the heaviness of the multilayer ones. We bought this one after researching all the other down products out there. We usually buy Patagonia but there wasn't one with a hood that was extra warm this year (disappointing). I am impressed by the durable fabric and it does cut the wind. Not quite as washable as I would like. This coat is so thin and lightweight yet has stood up to freezing temps of -10 plus windchill. My daughter actually said she was warmer the colder it got. Surprising. She also likes the snow skirt to keep the snow AND wind from getting in. I did get it 25% off or probably wouldn't have spent the full price.

Cute, durable jacket
This is a nice looking, durable warm jacket. It fit my 11 year old daughter well and has a lot of nice features and pockets. I have never paid more that $100 for a winter coat but decided to invest a little more since it can be passed down.
