Rated 4 out of 5 by BeachReader3 Great Quality! My partner has had his Maine Lounger since he was a kid, and still uses it 15 years later. After repeatedly stealing it away from him on beach excursions, I finally admitted to myself I needed to just go out and buy one for myself! His has a shorter back than this product, and leans back a bit more for ultimate relaxation, but this chair is perfect for movies in the park or reading at the beach. The chair is solid wood, so yes, you're going to have to expect that it will be heavier than a plastic beach chair, but I didn't find it to be much of a hindrance at all. I sit comfortably in this chair as a 5'4" woman, and my partner likes it as well (he's 6'1"). The quality is great and I expect to have this for quite a while! August 22, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by dre711 Good sturdy beach type chair I like this chair, however possibly not for deck lounging with the family all day, more for carrying to the beach or lake. It is solid. The seat pulls out and fits inside the back part nicely for a flat way to carry it. It is not heavy at all. The seat part is a bit small and the back is not high enough to rest your head, unless your < 5 ft tall. But it is what I wanted and the price is reasonable! July 26, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by musicmama great chair for summer lounging or sitting by the TV We have had several of these chairs for decades and were glad to find we could add to our 'fleet'. February 6, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Gina Very heavy chair Unless you want a weight-bearing exercise on the way to the park, don't buy this chair. It is durable because of the hard HEAVY wood, but it's not portable. It's also very hard to sit in without falling off. While it is well made, I wouldn't recommend it. May 31, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by beach mom Comfortable, long lasting I've used this chair for many years (mine is heavy cotton instead of polyester...it's that old!). It is very comfortable to sit in on a sandy beach. July 7, 2014
