The upper consists of GORE-TEX® and carefully placed overlays for added ventilation, support, and waterproof properties. Full-length Cushlon foam provides total support, while Nike® Zoom air offers responsive cushioning for the midsole. The solid rubber waffle outsole features lateral rubber blades for extra cushioning and sensory feedback.

Best shoe hands down.
I ordered 3 sets of GTX shoes, Nike Air Pegasus+ 29 GTX, NB MT910BG and BROOKS Adrenaline ASR GTX out of the 3 the Nike GTX was the best hands down. They are extremely light and very comfortable. I own a high end detail shop so I'm constantly in water puddles, splashing water you name it. I'm also on my feet 8-12 hrs on a daily basis and I've never felt my feet so well rested after a long day of work. Having dry feet at the end of a work day is priceless, the GTX is definitely worth every penny.
The others are great shoes too but I found the Pegasus to be the most comfortable out of the 3.

Excellent weatherproof Pegasus
I have a lot of time in the Pegasus 27 Trail, a non-GTX model. This new Pegasus 29 GTX (also a Trail model) has more volume, not only a more rounded toebox, but also more volume in the midfoot and event the heel. If moving up from a 27 or 28 to this new shoe, make sure you try them on or account for a little more space all around if you are purchasing them through Dick's online shop. The cushioning is fully up to Pegasus standards: neutral and plenty of it. I've been out in both ice and wet snow with no leaks, so the goretex lining is doing its job. The goretex does seem to make the shoe a little warmer as well, of course, so I would not recommend these for running in hotter climates. This partcular trail sole does a great job of getting a purchase on ice and snow, so all around, I highly recommend these for running or everyday wear in in colder climates where rain, snow, ice or mud are factors.

GREAT Shoe
This shoe is awesome!!! Extremely comfortable and the GTX is perfect for the winters months.
My only concern is that I was set the wrong shoe. I knew that there was something different from the picture I saw in the store when I order from there. the colors are flip -flopped from the colors I am seeing in this picture.

Pretty nice shoe
With the gortex, it's waterproof, however, while it keeps water out, it also doesn't let moisture excape. If it's waterproof you're looking for, be prepared to have damp socks if you're just wearing these shoes around and not necessarily exercising.
