Used in Alaska; worked very well. Roomy which needed as over different thicknesses of under jackets. Liked tuck-away hood. I'd say for the kind of heavy mist we were in, the jacket was fine. Wrist area of sleeves did get pretty wet when kayaking.....so not totally waterproof? Why, however, do the much appreciated pockets zip from bottom up? Makes no sense! Very happy with quality/value for price.

This review is all about size: For a trip to Alaska wherein we expected to do some hiking, kayaking and standing about in the rain, I wanted something not too expensive (unlikely to use again) and wanted to try on. I ordered through Dicks because Frogg Toggs has restocking and return fee. First I ordered the unisex Frogg Toggs Rain Suits ($39.00) both for my husband and myself: a large and medium. THESE ARE VERY LARGE- both the pants and jacket! He kinda fits into a medium (5'9", 170lbs) but it still is very roomy even considering it will be used over pants and warm jacket; will do for trip. However way too big for me: (5'6" 150lbs) Could not order a small suit either through Dicks Sporting or Frogg Toggs website...maybe they don't make in small? So: ordered separates: Started with "small" jacket: way too small! (check out size charts: items listed for women sized vastly differently). Then (thankfully had enough time) I ordered L, XL and XXL. Large worked for me over the heaviest jacket I thought I might wear and very comfortable with vest. Jacket is a bit boxy and especially roomy in upper sleeve area; a bit snug across chest but OK; what I really miss is POCKETS! Haven't left for trip yet so haven't tried in rain: stay tuned to hear if really water-proof!!!
