rage 45 lb bumper plates The plates are nice and durable. For the price and the quality you can't beat it. I'm ready to get some 35 lb plates as soon as a sale comes December 13, 2014
Great value This aren't the best bumpers I've used but work perfectly for my home gym and at a price that is much less than anything online when including shipping. I'd recommend these for anyone that wants to be able to do explosive lifts with the option of dropping your weight from overhead. December 2, 2014
Dead blow Almost no bounce, comparable to the HGs from Rogue for 25% more. Not the best bang for your buck, but solid and durable enough. June 6, 2014
Used ONCE and returned!! As a competitive lifter, I was excited to have some bumpers...finally!! Had to make the Augusta, ME. store sell them to me. These were out on the sales floor with no sign, no information, NO ONE KNEW ANYTHING ABOUT THEM. I finally requested we check them out on line. Finally, found out how much they were. Now, we need to print up a UPC sticker so these can be rung in. I told the employee that it ALREADY had the sticker on the steel insert. They plates promptly DESTROYED my platform. My cast iron plates ALMOST bounce as much as these!! The purpose of a bumper plate is to BOUNCE to get rid of the kinetic energy so that the stress is not transferred into the bar. My bar is good enough to qualify to use in the Olympics so, I need plates that dissipate the stress by bouncing. Why didn't you go with Hi-Temp?? That's where I'm taking my money. Somebody did NOT do their research to think theses plates are the answer!! October 8, 2013
lowest price Ordered these from Dick's to get free shipping. My first choice was a softer material, but shipping on 45# bumpers is a little ridiculous. I've used these once already (and have the 10# bumpers as well). So far, so good. Time will tell if the collar inserts start to slide out. July 26, 2013
Expensive and ok quality While it is nice that you can head over to your local Dicks to buy these bumpers, they are very expensive compared to other online vendors such as Rogue and Lynx Barbell. I bought my first set from Rogue 3 years ago then bought a pair of 45's from Dick to add weight to my dead lift. Bad mistake - these are cheaply made bumpers and they do cost a lot. Since then I purchased a set of ECON bumpers from Lynx Barbell to replace my old Rogue plates I gave to my brother. The quality and price is way better at Lynx plus it only took 2 days to ship to me on a Saturday! July 1, 2013
Not Ivanko Although the collars will push out, these bumpers are true and dirt cheap. But, if you are truly devoted to power, and want bumpers that will last the test of time through loads of deadlifts, save up and buy the real thing. January 30, 2013
