Rated 5 out of 5 by Dr. Dave Excellent shock absorption.
While this shoe is taunted for stability, I find that it's greater attribute is the shock absorption it provides. It is a light weight shoe as well. If you have a hard heel strike or you have heel pain and you are not a pronator, this may be the shoe for you.

Guess you can't get much for $100 these days. The 2000 series was my go to but the service people at Dick's couldn't be bothered to call around for me - regardless of the 3 locations I called and visited, each store didn't go beyond "we don't have them." The only style and size they had on the website that would fit were these guys. Size 10. Should have plenty, right? Nope. Looked and looked for the 2000 GT's which used to be in the $80ish category, now they're well past $100. The 1000 is fine but for my weight and height, 185, 6'1", there needs to be more padding at the front of the sole. Will go back to the 2000's or kayano's, but only if they're on sale, and prob not at Dick's.

Excellent running shoes, good cushioning and stabilization. The color combination makes it a very good looking shoe that gets a lot of attention
