These Bullets Don't Expand!! Bullets are extremely accurate, however, unlike Barnes' claim, they DON'T expand!! This past October 14, 2014, I shot a 6x6 bull two times in the vitals, right behind the shoulder with these bullets and 150 GR of powder, (my hunting partner witnessed it), once at 150 yards and again at 50 yards and though the bull flinched on impact each time, he didn't show any sign of serious injury and then simply trotted off!? Problem, these bullets don't expand!! They punch a clean hole right through the animal instead of shredding vital organs...like poking the animal with an ice pick...clean entry, clean exit! First and last time I'll use these bullets. What good is accuracy if you can't kill what you hit!? I'm still saddened and dazed by the experience and so is my hunting partner. Most heartbreaking hunting trip of my life! A monster 6x6 herd bull at 50 yards and it doesn't go down!? I sent Barnes an email, but doubt they'll like my negative comments, but we'll see. DON'T BUY THESE BULLETS FOR HUNTING - you will be sorry you did!! November 6, 2014
Never had an issue I've taken four deer in the last two years with these bullets and never had an issue. Never had an actual track job either. Three of the four dropped dead right there and the other one ran about ten yards and fell over. These are the only bullets I've found to shoot well out of my CVA Optima. I find they load just fine. Don't waste your time. Read all the reviews even the one that says that it had problems loading. It was extremely tight loading. I'm a 230lb. pound guy and I had trouble pushing it. Just wasn't worth the effort. Definitely won't be buying these again! October 26, 2013
thanks shot this bullet 10 times at target 5 at 30 and 5 at 70 yds.was inside second circle on every shot. felt I was ready to go!! October 22, 2013
Barnes is to Big This bullet would not go down my 50 cal easily. I had to use a hammer to push it down. It is visibly larger than my Hornady 50 cal. Found out later this has happened to many shooters who purchased this product. Waist of $30. November 14, 2012
