I was first skeptical of the freestanding heavy bag and was certain it would involve a lot of base movement; this product did not once filling the base with water. Great product!

I purchased the blow up strike bag made by Everlast because it was less expensive. Don't waste your time on it. It busted after a few weeks of training. The Omniflex is bad to the bone. Better quality at a fair price.

A 5 year old can make this bag move to its full potential. Don't buy if looking for a good cardio workout or for strength training.

I purchased this bag today and had a nice workout with my boys. I was really looking for a nice workout punching bag for my boys.. They take karate lesson and this bag with its mobile and all around movement makes it ideal for my boys. Love the adjustable height too. And we assembled it in 20 minutes...Dicks is the store.

well-made and very durable. that being said, it is a freestanding bag with a spring mechanism in the base of the stand... so hits send the bag reeling in all directions. in this way, "heavy bag" is probably not an accurate name. i live in a small apartment and an actual heavy bag wasn't an option so this is a great freestanding bag for me. the springy movement of the bag actual makes it great for overall training (foot work, counters, blocks, etc.) but i wasn't aware of how much swingin' it was going to do before i purchased. make sure you have some wraps or gloves too; the padded bag is really nice but, when you throw heavy hits, you'll feel the core. it's tolerable though.

LOVE IT!. I am 6'4" 250 lbs and have beat the heck out of it. It never slides because of the spring. I love the fact that it moves as you have to hit a moving target instead of a bag that just sits in one place, great for hand eye coordination and getting used to something coming at you so you don't blink. I have even used it at night with the lights off to help with hitting something in low light. Works good for medium to high kicks too, but I mostly punch it as it is on the porch and sometimes the floor is wet. BUY IT.
