would recommend this
I purchased this elliptical after a ton of research. I went to other sporting goods stores and high end exercise stores. After listening to all the sales pitches and making my own decision. I decided to by the Livestrong product.
It took about 3 hours to put it together, but it did recommend two people to assemble, I did it myself. The hardest part of the assembly was threading the wires through the console stand. (Most of the reviews that I read, had the same issue) Other then that, I did not have a problem. The instructions were easy to read and the the package with all the nuts and bolts was a nice idea.
Worked out for the first time this morning and was extremely please with the quality. I have worked with other ellipticals and found this to equal to them. I am talking about the gym quality ones also.

More reliable than Lance.
Well built and quiet. Nice features, near gym quality. Down sides are the tiny instructions with pictures so small you need magnifying glasses to read them. The speaker is kind of tinny but okay. I'd buy it again.

Good machine
Good overall machine. We looked at many in this price range and this seemed to be the best. Would agree with other reviews on tech end though, but it had plenty for what we needed/wanted. Assembly was pretty straight forward but wiring through the mast took a little patience. Would have been much simpler if there wasn't a hidden crossbar inside the pipe as the wire connectors barely fit through what space was left. I would recommend color coding the connectors as well due to two of them being identical and not knowing which connector at top to plug into. Overall, very pleased with operation, durability, etc

Very Pleased
I looked for an elliptical for over a month over the holiday season. Lots of differences on how each rode.. Some had your legs coming higher than others, some strides were too long, some just felt cheap. If you're going to use one of these, all of the above has to be satisfied or you'll just end up hanging clothes on it. This machine was the best for me. Very solid feeling and construction. The stride isn't very high nor too long.. The electronics isn't as comprehensive and it doesn't have as many programs as some others, but for me, all I wanted to do is plug the music in my ears and ride. The warrantee on the Livestrongs is better than most without having to buy an extended. I got it on sale so the value was pretty good. So far I love this thing. If you're not into the electronic, gadget factor, you won't be disappointed...

Great Piece of Equipment
My wife purchase this Elliptical as a Christmas gift and I told her to pay for the shipping and to have them put it together because all I wanted to do is use it. It arrived on Thursday 1/3/2013, the 2 guys installed it within 30 mins. I have used it already over a half dozen times with much enjoyment. It provides a great workout with only 15 mins of use at a high resistance level of course, however 15 minutes isn't enough for me so I bumped it up to 30 mins then 1 hour. We are enjoy our new Elliptical!!!!!

Assembly thoughts
We just got this today and wanted to give some of my impressions on the assembly. The instructions were good and clear, separate hardware sections make things easy as far as knowing the correct bolts to put in.
The only issue I have with the assembly is routing the wires from the flywheel/resistance up through the mast to the console. It's nice that they prestring a line through the mast to pull the wires through, but with the size of the connectors and the size of the opening, it was insufficient clearance to pull them straight through. What I ended up doing was taking a wire clothes hanger, straightening it out, taping the connector and wires to it and feeding it through that way. It still took a ton of tries and patience from a not so patient person to get them through. It would be a much better design and easier for consumers if there was a wire bundle already ran through the mast with connectors at each end.
Total assembly time was about 2 hours for a single person, of which 30 minutes was spent fighting the wires through the mast. Everything fit together nicely, and can't wait to start using it.

Broken right out of the box
I bought this because when I tried it out in the store, it felt great. I got it home and the plastic housing was broken on both sides of the elliptical. I really wanted to take it back, but because it is SO heavy and large in the box, it would have been a nightmare. I called customer service and spent 30 minutes on the phone with someone who didn't know anything about the machine. Once we FINALLY figured out what parts needed to be replaced (all 3 lower plastic pieces), I was told they would ship out UPS and would take 5 days to get to my home! Then a couple days for a tech to come out, I would have to contact them since they typically wait for your call to let them know the parts arrived. Sound like fun yet??? I haven't even used this and it's been terrible. Convinced them to overnight parts, although this was like pulling teeth, then contacted 2 days later to see if I found anything else wrong with it before sending out parts. Lance Armstrong should be embarrassed to have his name on this thing.
