I purchased this unit and tried it out for one day in 5 feet of water. It's very difficult to see the screen unless you shade it or use it inside your shanty. The camera cable is very thin so it's difficult to control where the camera is pointing. There's not enough weight to make it easy to manipulate. I ended up pointing it straight down the hole. It was a lot of fun to see the fish, but this unit isn't practical for jumping around from hole to hole. The camera is very light, so if you are holding the unit, the camera tends to move. Really need to set it on a stable object to be able to see anything real well. I decided to return the unit and get a Marcum vs385, which I feel is a better choice for $50 more.

I have to say that after first looking at it-And the cheaper price-I almost turned away from this one-but a friend of mine from out west showed me a video of them out on the ice with this-And the video shot was great-It lets you know whats below-If your fishing in weeds or if you can see any fish-So for the money-I think this is great
