Rock Locks are adjustable. Some of the previous customers discussed how the Rock Lock clamps fail. I have these poles and had a lock that would not hold well. If you pull the latch back one side comes out of the clamp which locks the pole, The latch length can be adjusted by turning it a turn or two. Slip it back into the clamp and it will clamp more tightly and the pole will not collapse. This design it great, very sleek, easy to adjust once you know how. Great pole at a great price. It Slides While the trekking poles look well designed, if you put enough pressure on them, they will slide, even though they are locked. May 28, 2013
Not what they are cracked up to be Rock licks evidently fail frequently. There were 4 pairs of sticks on the rack inthe store and every pair had one stick w/broken "rock locks". I split 2 sets to get 2 sticks with functioning locks. However, when trying to cross a hazard on the trail the next morning, the licks didn't hold @ one of the sticks collapsed into itself. Very disappointed in quality for 80.00 sticks. January 15, 2013
Waiting to try it... Will be getting this for Christmas, anxiously waiting to try them. Been exercising at a health institute and they want me to bring them in and walk the hall. Many people don't know the benefits of walking poles. I believe they will help me to walk more, as I'm a little unsteady now. (I'm 74 years old.) December 19, 2012
