Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 29 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very Accurate .177 Air Rifle ! The Benjamin Titan XS is the perfect .177 pellet gun that I've been waiting 5 years for! It is very well built, has great ergonomics\handling and has proven Very Accurate (10yds=Same Hole w\Benjamin 7.9gram lead HP). There's virtually no recoil and I can shoot in my workshop without hearing protection, it's that quiet (thanks to the smooth Nitro Piston technology)! The included Centerpoint 3-9 x32 scope is okay (7-9 power gets grainy) but adjust well for a consistent zero. Trigger pull is on the long side (1") and heavy (7lbs). Two 3\16" lock washers on the trigger pin\sear contact dropped length of pull to a consistent 1\4" and 3.25lbs, giving me bulls eyes with every shot...very respectable! At 1000fps (lead pellets, sub-sonic=stable ballistics), it is very powerful, carrying 18 foot lbs of punch. In just 5 back-to-back bulls eye shots, I tore a hole in my Gamo 8 gauge sheet metal target housing I started with...will need to beef it up to keep using! I've not had the chance to take it out long range (50 to 100 yds), but am confident it will be a very accurate plinker and small game hunter! September 19, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome!!!!!!!!!!! Best Gun ever This is one of the best guns you can get it's awesome good for hunting good for practice December 18, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Solid Gun Very powerful gun!, Rock solid quality! The scope's okay for short term, but the gun shoots farther than the scope's ability, buy a 50.00 BSA scope and your cookin' with peanut oil! December 23, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by review follow up Okay so this is my second post on this gun, As I mentioned in the last review dump the scope if you can afford to, if not it will work. They say it takes about 100 rounds to brake in the gun before it's accurate enough to start sighting in the scope. It's more like 200, Then it's really deadly accurate. Shooting at 100 feet it puts a basic Crosman lead pellet thru a beer can and 1/2 inch sheet rock. I put a Sweet22 scope on it, great match!. It's a 50.00 dollar .22lr scope. I'm now getting some seriously tight groupings. For the money it's a Great setup all available at Dicks December 31, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Over 2000 rounds Shot almost 5 tins through it already put my 3-9x40 tru glo scope and took it to the range shooting better groups at the 25 yard than members using scoped 22's very accurate and powerful penetrated a galvanized bucket at 100 feet in and out. I didn't expect it to be this good Recommend to everyone October 27, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice rifle for the $$$ Got it for my dad for fathers day and he loves it. Scope kinda cheap but he was able to site it in just fine. Its fast and quite. He said it went thru a 1" piece of pine with ease. He had to make a stronger back-drop. June 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lives up to great reputation! I've now put about 450 pellets through this rifle and I'm only more satisfied with every shot. Based on the reviews I'd read as well as my own reaction to the scope that is bundled with the rifle, I upgraded to a Tru Glo scope at the time I bought the rifle, and I had the Dick's guy mount it for me. As per other reviews, initially the gun was not that accurate. However, I tried to be patient as I put more rounds through the muzzle. After about 200 shots, I nailed a 4x8 piece of cardboard to a tree roughly 25 yards away. I put a large + sign in the middle of the cardboard and then lined up my scope on the bulls-eye. The first shot was between 3 and 4 o'clock and a foot away from center. I followed the scope instructions, and began adjusting for windage and elevation. Within about 10 shots I was grouping reasonably around the bulls-eye. This was with my aiming elbow resting on an a fence post, but not having the gun perfectly still. Since zeroing the scope at that point, the gun has been very accurate. The pistol grip is quite comfortable as is the Tru Glo scope. I paid $169.99 for the rifle in the store. Until recently, this gun was on Dick's website for $139.99, but I see they've raised the price to $159.99 now. Still, with the free shipping, you'll save $10 online. The upgraded scope was $59.99 in store, and I had the benefit of having them mount it at no charge. I just bought a cleaning kit and will be trying that for the first time this weekend. I've read that the cleaning will further strengthen accuracy, but only after quite a number of pellets have gone through. I'd highly recommend this air rifle. It's a lot of fun, whether you're going out to shoot for awhile or just stepping out the back door to fire off a few rounds. Although we're in the suburbs, we back up to the woods, so it's great to leave a target or two somewhere with a "safe" background, although after zeroing the scope, you shouldn't miss much. Rated 4 out of 5 by Well made but terrible trigger I've put about 100 rounds through it and things are improving {Benjamin says it may take that to break in}. The trigger creep is bad but the gun is sturdy if a bit heavy. Acurracy isn't yet what I hoped for but that could be partly my fault. The gun should include silicon chamber oil which is required but not available locally. May 20, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by awesome gun figured i would give this model a try after the last crossman i had was junk. i had it grouping 5 shots in a 1/2 inch after only 20 shots. it is very quiet compared to the spring type. glad i decided to spend the extra money and go with this one. i will be updating the scope since the one it comes with is pretty cheap. Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice gun Nice gun, solid and well built. did not like the scope, had a 40 mm from a rifle that I had bought and put that on the pellet gun. Works very nice now. Have shot just under 100 rounds thru it and it keeps getting better, will see where it is after 200. going to shoot another 50 and clean it again and lube it up, then shot another 50 to see how it improves in the accuracy. Seems like the more I shoot to break it in, the better it gets. Very nice little gun, great for small varmints and pests. August 22, 2013
