Drop 8 is fragile Ball really comes off the bat. However, I coach my 13 year olds travel team and they wore it out in one tournament. The end cap fell down into the barrell and it cracked too. I will say over 12's should not use bat but 12 and under should be great. We will try -5 replacement i guess.... May 29, 2013
Large sweetspot ,even off the handle can put it play Lots of pop,ball seems to explode off the bat. Need to break the bat in first. May 7, 2013
Hot Hot Hot!! We had 3 12U travel teams using this bat this weekend. 4-5 players per team using the same bat. Drop 8 version of the XL1. (it has a much longer barrel than the -5) Inside or outside pitches ...didn't matter. They cranked 6 homers on us! Friend in Anniston saw the same thing in his 13U tourny. Just ordered it for my team and am looking forward to the fun! Can't find em anywhere else. April 23, 2013
