Light Swings only The upper plastic portion of the tee smashed in the first time out. My 9 year old I and were so excited about this product and couldn't wait for the weather to warm up and get it out on the field. Using the very clever pop up method, the third swing nicked the upper portion which sent a crack down to the spring portion. Next swing shattered to pieces. I was watching, and it was not direct contact with tee, the ball was hit well enough to leave the infield, but some contact was made to the tee. This makes me believe there is no way this would have been able to absorb many blows as a stand up tee. I was initially worried about the plastic upper portion, usually it is hard rubber or something that can absorb blows. Metal plus plastic typically doesn't end well for plastic. If you are a light swinger, go for it. Maybe we did something wrong, but my wal-mart tee is still holding strong, it just doesn't have the features this one has, and wasn't billed to be as strong. Very disappointed, we had high expectations for this tee. The spring at the bottom gives the appearance it would be able to withstand some abuse. I have included pictures.
