Great Bike Great bike for the price, Ive hit the trails on and off and had zero problems with shifting or anything. I am 6ft1 and this bike is perfect. I will buy a full suspension bike next but for now this is perfect August 6, 2013
Bear with it I started riding and within 2 weeks I have had what sounds like bearings clicking in and out. It does it for a couple hours then with stop for a day then start back up. the bike has good handling and is comfortable. I will probably be taking it back if it happens again but i trust that Dick's will do the right thing. July 16, 2013
Nice bike Bike is great. I'm 6 2 and 220 lbs so it fits great. The store guy forgot to tighten the wheels and it feel off at the house. Look it over before taking it out. Overall I'm happy with the bike because it can handle anything so far. June 25, 2013
amazing Amazing bike for the price. I have put over 500 miles on this bike and it has no issues or problens. June 25, 2013
awesome steed indeed! took it out immediately after getting it back to the house. was surprised by how much the ride and shift changes were. good, solid drivetrain and super silent while heading through the trail. the weight isn't bad for a bike this size. the price wasn't bad for what i got. i've ridden many high end bikes in my day, treks, specialized, etc...it offers the same ride as those. two reasons why i didnt give it a five star rating....the saddle is a bit uncomfy, but thats easily replaceable. and it's only a 21 or seven speed depending on how you look at it. i figured for the price it could have had an eight speed rear end. as far as hills go, the thing is spiderman! i went up an eight percent grade with no problem. my only worry was that the torque it puts out in granny gear would flip me backwards. but overall i'm very pleased! Looks sharp On the third time I took the bike out, I went for a 21 mile ride, mostly on level ground, half concrete, half dirt. Upon getting about 4 miles from my destination, the pedal crank started making a clunking sound when pressing down with the right foot only. So I will be taking it in to Dick's when I get a chance so they can replace the crank or bearing inside it (depending on what's causing the clunk). I'm really ashamed I have to take the bike back only after the third ride. I thought I was buying a Diamondback, not a Huffy. Otherwise, the bike has held up. Haven't done any real trail riding with it off-road yet, but I think it will tackle it well. The disc brakes don't seem to bite as much as my old bike with standard rubber rim brakes. Not sure if that's typical of disc or not, but I'm not a fan. Not sure if I got a lemon based on the pedal crank or not, but for the price, I'd invest in a Trek instead probably next time. Super fun bike After purchasing this bike i immediately went out for a ride. I noticed the shocks were super smooth and the gears were quick to change. Having the 29er wheels made me feel very controlled and made the ride much more enjoyable. You can practically roll over anything. The looks is very sleek and the price was right..then again it was on sale.. Also, the handlebar shape allows you to take it off medium size jumps if you want without bending the bar. As far as hill climbs go, its was by far the best bike i have ever taken up hills. It tractors right up it. The only thing i would change is the seat. It is not the most comfortable seat ever but its not the worst. Everything else on the bike was great. June 11, 2013
What a great Ride! Before buying this bike I was wondering on Walmart, Costco, target... I found I nice bike on Costco for $ 350 with similar characteristics but somehow it didnt feel strong...then I whent to Dicks and found this beauty! It is a greeeeeeat bike and soft ride. the gears are very soft too ! The bike itself is very steady , I use to go to some little more aggressive tracks and I can feel that this bike take I all and ask for more! The break is amazing! It does the job without noise and is very efficient ! I love the tires for the tracks! The seat is not the most comfortable one but I got used to it! The bike feels strong and light. It is by far different ( for better )from anything you can get on those shops I mentioned before oh yes I know what I'm talking about lol...I can only say that it was a excellent buy for me!!
