Customer Reviews

Rated 1.5 out of 5 by 31 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by No Recommendation These balls didn't even last through one practice with a team girls under 13. I returned them and DICK's did refund my money. September 4, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by I wanted soft balls not eggs Can this even be called a ball. Doesent last one BP. Used three of the 6 balls and they look like we'll eggs and pancakes. Spend the extra 15 dollars and buy the good balls. September 1, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Cheap If want some cheap balls for girls to practice with, these are what you want, and that is all they are good for. Pleather was loose on everyball and they will not hold up for BP. I bought for 12u rec girls softball just to have a few extra balls for drills. My daughter and a few other girls play on the team play travel in the summer and a couple of the balls got egg shapped after one round of BP. So, good as extra balls with rec girls only and no BP! If you want cheap balls pay the extra buck a ball for the Worths. August 26, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor Balls These balls didn't even make it thru one practice before they became deformed. Will never by them again. August 6, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Dick's Sporting Goods 12" Practice Softballs - 6 Pack / Thumbs down. These softballs break down quickly. Then, they become deformed to look more like an egg than a ball. I've had warnings that they could be unsafe...even dangerous. July 23, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Never again Ball material was wavy..poorly made .... Can't use as game balls.. Didn't have receipt or would have been returned!!! July 15, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by bad balls worst balls ever after hitting the balls one time the seams were ripping and the balls lost it's shape don't waste your money July 8, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Practice Balls In all honesty, these are good enough for pitching practice, but you can buy better balls for the same price if not cheaper online. I just needed to grab some in case my online shipment didn't arrive in time for practice. I don't have any complaints about the practice balls... just that I don't think the value is all that great. Basically I think you can do better on price, but these will work in a time pinch. July 8, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by No durability These balls didn't last through one iteration of BP. By the end of batting practice, the balls were oblong, bruised, and beat up so bad that we had to toss them out. It's definitely better to pay more money for blue/gold dot or even the thunder softballs than these ones. April 17, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Excellent customer service from Dick's Bought 2 packs of these balls for my son and I to hit. After one round of batting, most of the balls were terribly warped. After only three rounds of hitting, ALL of the balls had obviously changed shape drastically. I am 170 pounds and my son is a 130 pound 13 year old....we are not big, strong hitters. I would strongly advise against buying these balls for hitting. In fact, I believe it would be very wise for Dick's to stop selling these. Regardless of how bad these balls are though, the staff at Dick's were very courteous and polite when I returned them. I have no complaints with the store and will continue to shop there regularly.
