Fantastic bang for the buck As a longtime Nike customer, I was wary of switching brands. However, the sales associates recommended Brooks to me, and three years later, I am a loyal convert. These latest shoes are what I have come to expect from Brooks. Extremely comfortable and highly durable. I'm shocked how well and long my last pair lasted. Have been using these for two weeks now, and I love them. They give great support, and I don't feel the wear and tear of the constant pounding one might expect while running. Have used them in a variety of capacities (indoor running, rowing and stairs), and they don't disappoint. While priced a little on the upside, well worth the cost. I consider this money well spent on preventative maintenance to minimize injury. If you are looking for high quality, high durability and phenominal comfort, look no further. May 21, 2013

Flat feet Great all around shoe for arch support. I have a collapsed arch in one foot and had to buy these as they are motion control. Give great support, plenty of toe room. very comfortable April 24, 2013
Great Running Shoe for the heavier Runner I just started to prepare for my first 5k which is in April. I am a heavier runner and was told to try the Brooks Breast, I have always purchased Brooks for everyday actives so I knew they were good shoes. These shoes are great if your flat footed. I would recommend these shoes to any flat footed heavier runner or even for everyday use. March 26, 2013

Great show for big people. Have had some foot issues recently and has effected my workouts. This has helped quell the foot pain I have been having. Seems very well cushioned without being overly heavy. I have a long arch coupled with a size 15 it is hard to find a shoe that provides whole foot support. I also have a hard time with shoes holding up being in the 240-250lb range. They are very supportive and we will see how these hold up. January 16, 2013
They are a beast alright! Let me start off by saying that these are very well made shoes and I really wanted to like them. I have severely flat feet and run very hard but have never used stability or motion control shoes but running 12+ miles a week for years has finally caught up to me and I starting to get nagging injuries to my hip and knees...so decided to try a shoe made to offset my running style and flat feet. I went straight to the most expensive and highly regarded Brooks Beast. I was between a size 9.5 and 10 so I bought them both and ran a few miles in each size w/ no noticeable difference...they both hurt and hurt badly! The outside of my foot near the arch on both sides cramped badly while running, walking, or simply just wearing the shoes and did so for 2 days after I ran without even wearing the shoes. I moved to Asics 2170 and ran the next day and they felt awesome even though my feet were still sore from the Beast. I can tell that the Asics aren't made as well and may not last as long but they are comfortable and provide the support needed and are still supposed to get a lot of miles out of them. The Beast may work great for some people but they were awful for me and I'd have a tough time recommending them, even though I would definitely recommend the Brooks brand based on the quality that was apparent in this shoe. Best for big guys First of all, I'm 6'5" and 225 lbs. Have been running for over 35 years and have worn just about every brand of shoes made for over pronators. By far, Brooks Beast are THE best! I can almost always get 400 miles out of each pair then wear them around as "kickers" for another year or two. They're sturdy, supportive, and have excellent tread wear. Have never had a pair break down, twist, or tear and I do some pretty vigorous workouts. If you're over 185 lbs, pronate, and want great value, the Beast's are for you! January 4, 2013
Comfortable, just not for my gait. I purchased this shoe online without fully doing my research. Shoe is for severe over-pronation. Comfortable to wear when I tried them on in store, but just was not right for my gait when running. 4 Stars bc it seemed to be a good shoe if it fit your running style. November 27, 2012
