Rated 5 out of 5 by Sharon11 I want to wear my Brooks every day!
I purchased these for a trip to Washington, DC. that was going to involve a lot of walking. I took another pair of name brand sneakers that were made for walking and into the evening the ball of my foot started to hurt. I left in the early morning and didn't return until the night and never once did my feet hurt in my Brooks. I can't say enough about how comfortable these are....the arch support, the cushion of the heel, lightweight, etc. not to mention, I love the color! I have a narrow foot with a high arch and tend to have trouble finding a good fit. I find myself wanting to wear these shoes every day! My husband bought two pair and didn't even have to break them in to be comfortable!

I love Brooks for my running shoes, but the Pure Cadence 2 is not comfortable above the tongue area. I have a lot of pain on top of my foot by the joint of my toe. Bothers me more after my run than during my run. I think I will try another type. I have had great luck with the Ravenna in the past.

I have always run in Brooks shoes and the Pure Series are my favorite. My last shoes were the PureFlow. Also great shoes but these have a little more support.

I love the shoes because they are so lightweight and look good too! Would consider purchasing again in the future.

Great shoes, I've been waiting to jump into the zero balance and barefoot movement, this is a great first step.

I have been running in Brooks shoes for years made the switch to the Pure line last year, I love the pure cadence, just the right balance between support and minimalist shoe. I run average 30-50 miles a week in these shoes. Another great product feom Brooks

While this shoe did not work for me, I think overall they were nice shoes. The trouble I had was I was getting horrible blisters on the inner part of my arch. I doubt it has anything to do with the shoe, and more to do with me.
I called the store and they said to bring them back. I was able to exchange them for another pair of shoes that are working out much better. The young guy in the shoe department was super helpful and nice, even though I had no receipt or box! I will for sure be a returning Dick's customer.

love these shoes. I work at a health club and have found them comfortable and supportive. I get lots of comments. When I say brooks - people remember the brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Godguided Minimalist Road Runner
I have a moderate pronation, neutral arch, wide foot, and bunions. I find that when running barefoot I would midstrike instead of the heal strike I do in stability shoes. This made me want to get a minimalist shoe for road running so as not to throw off my midstrike technique when training for races. These shoes did the trick. As soon as I explained to the salesman the above..he handed me the Brooks PureCadence 2. He was confident that I would not need to try the others. He was right.I purchased the shoe after the comfort and support that I felt. However, after a few weeks I felt the tongue dig into the top of my foot.(something other reviewers mentioned) They also pressed my wide, bunion feet a bit to hard along the sides. My goal was to train in them for two months, run a 5K, see how they did after that and either return them or exchange for another color. The purple is a bit much for this neutral dresser.(think Barney or Grimace! They do come in black and silver which is RARE!) I ran the 5K, took 4min off my usual time and had no pain in my feet. The times that I wear these shoes for 8hrs a day is when they start to cause fatigue.(Not best for those workers who are on your feet all day!) Besides that, if worn for running only, they have stretched to fit my foot like a second skin. I have grown to enjoy the bright color if not just becoming attached to the shoe itself. I put a lot of miles on since I purchased them almost 3 months ago and find they are the perfect balance for someone who enjoys barefoot, minimalist running but also needs a road shoe. I would advise that they do take time to break in.
