Can barely hear the gun! These earmuffs are great quality for the price. I like to double up and wear ear plugs and muffs but this pair works great by itself. You can hardly hear the gun go off when you have these guys on. May 7, 2013
outstanding Earmuff I purchased this item on the recommendation of a close friend. At the gun range they worked perfectfuly. Individuals on both sides of the shooting lanes were shooting large caliber hand guns & the L3's performed as advertised. Great product. Excellent Muffs for Shooting This is an excellent pair of muffs for shooting! Comfortable to wear all day for shooting! I've worn these 8+ hours a day and shot everything up to a M82 .50 cal rifle with these muffs. These have the best NRR for the price (paid under $20). I usually double these with ear plugs for extra sound reduction. The only issue I've had is occasionally it is difficult to get a proper cheek weld with certain guns (only had problems with a few). However, you will find this problem with most muffs. November 14, 2012
Howard Leight Leightning L3 Earmuff I use this product to dampen the noise from working with my skill saw and the air nailer. Both tools make an awful lot of noise. I thought that this earmuff would make it much more quiet working with these tools. It does not. I can still hear the tools, a little softer-yes, but not as dampening as I expected or wanted. When you buy an expensive earmuff that are used by gun people you expect that it would work to make the sound quieter. I have to use earplugs WITH the earmuffs to do the job. I don't really want to do that, but I have to. My hearing is bad enough as it is without the additional loud noise that i have to deal with. I would not recommend purchasing this product at the price they want when you can go to any national home goods store and buy another one that works just as well and it's cheaper. October 18, 2012
