Customer Reviews:

Rated 5 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by PENN IS BACK!!! I have sworn by Shimano TLD's for years on offshore fishing, and I have just three words to say... SHIMANO GOT SKUNKED!!. Penn went out of its way to design something based on what WE liked and using all the complaint fisherman gave on the TLD design!!. Slicker body, Flushed lever drag, Tuck away lugs, Bigger handle and SPEEEED!! MAN THIS THING IS FAST!!. After a constant beating offshore for months, I ended up replacing all my TLD15's, 20's and 25's for the Squall 40's, 50's and 60's and ive never looked back. Shimano?? better luck next time. sorry for the long review just had to give my 2 cents. PENN IS FINALLY BACK!!!!! October 3, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Had it for a week I have the 40 with about 350 yrds of 40 lb mono. I'm 15 years old and drift fish cape Canaveral, I took it out for the first time and caught a 25 lb African pompano easily not more than a 3 minute fight, also caught a red snapper on a live grunt (15 lbs). Very nice and smooth reel. If you want something for bottom fishing this is definitely the reel for you! May 4, 2015
