Good first step up from a 16" bike
This "Jr" version of the Viper has 20" wheels but a smaller-than-standard frame and shorter cranks. It was the perfect size for my son who was about to outgrow his 16" bike but wasn't quite tall enough to stand over the down-tube of many of the 20" bikes. This was also one of the few 20" bikes I could find that had alloy rims (as opposed to heavier steel) but still had a coaster brake which I think is safer for novice riders. He's ridden it for two years now and the bike has held up very well. Now that he's outgrown this one, I am strongly considering replacing it with a Viper X which is essentially the same bike with two-sizes-larger frame and no coaster brake.
