Field and Stream Backpack My son is a scout and needed a hiking backpack. After looking at all options and what a good quality backpack costs we went with the Field and Stream hiking backpack with frame. Not exactly what I expected I first became aware of this external frame backpack in a Dick's store in Las Vegas. I tried it on and walked around the store to see how it fit. I decided to buy it online. The pack was $129 in the store, $99 with free shipping on line. However, when it arrived, it was not the same as the one in the store, it was like a smaller version, less padded hip belt and shoulder straps, and it seemed smaller than the one in the store. It was disappointing but still a good pack. I just wish I would have bought the one in the store. This one will work for me for short overnighters, but not much more. This would be a good choice for a smaller person. April 16, 2013
